TheBnmghjk Yes because when you read the words Final Cut = Mac = Shit it screams I'm telling a joke No you weren't you're just a Mac hater. AE can not do what Vegas can. It can do SOME of what Vegas can. Just like Vegas can do SOME of what AE can. But they are two different programs designed for two totally different things. Final Cut 7 is probably the easiest video editor to pick up and use, Final Cut X is a piece of crap.

RCFx27 Final Cut and Sony Vegas are both Video Editors. If that is what you're looking for and you have a Mac get Final Cut 7, DO NOT get Final Cut X. If you have a PC go with Vegas. There is also Adobe Premiere, which is for PC and Mac. After Effects is for composting meaning bringing different elements together it's primarily used for special effects and motion graphics.

TheBnmghjk bro, are you joking, after effects is a compositing tool you don't use it for editing and just because final cut is for the mac doesn't make it bad, in fact it is a hundred times better than vegas which doesn't even let you smoothly watch your hd clips even in lowest resolution possible

drcool41 I mentioned shit about Avid, I'm not sure about you, but I when I was messing around, I could do the same shit in AE as the basics in vegas. I haven't used AE much, but when I did, I experienced a better version of vegas.

Please try using blender! The programs creators made a tutorial that implies the user has had years of training on a similar platform (Maya) I'm only 15! Not a college graduate with a masters in computer aided design and drafting!

TheBnmghjk lemme guess when you were messing around you were doing muzzle flashes. ANything higher level than that only works in after effects. And cmon you can't actually edit footage with after effects successfully.
