She's correct that all women are beautiful in their own unique ways. As a hetro male I'm more turned on with a woman who's comfortable in their own skin and genuinely happy (in their life) than I am with a woman who wears lots of makeupwhich is invariably the converse. 'Lots of makeup' says to me this woman isn't confident. I've seen it too many times now for it to not be true. Woman have developed the opinion they are not naturally beautiful. Newsflash: if you were not our species would have died away long ago. You are beautiful and for damn sure you are far more beautiful than you think of yourself as. There are plenty of actresses who if you looked like you'd be less confident than and you'd begin to find and list all the ways you'd be better if only they were changed. FFS, stop. stop, stop, stop. Take the journey back to loving yourself and learning to see what others who are confident in 'their' own skin (an important stipulation) see in you. They see a different you in you than you see in you and you see in them what they project and you then tell yourself the story of how you'd be like that if only you were them. Stop. Enough. What I also like about her is that she stays true to her style without being oldfashioned. She combines classic soul influences with modern sounds and mainstream with deep social and political contents. Really great music!
