I am 65 and have all my own teeth bar one. Which was broken by two private dentists after I moved out of the UK. NHS dentistry is okay if you can find a dentist that contracts with the NHS. Private dentistry is available just as private medicine is available. But dentists are more committed to making money in private practice and, in my opinion, often do unnecessary and harmful work just to make money.

Ok a quick thing on UK healthcare. When we say our healthcare is free technically thats a lie. By free we mean Free at the Point of Use. Similar to the police, fire brigade, schools, roads etc they are free when we use them but they are paid for through our taxes. We simply feel that its the most sensible way to ensure that everyone is covered and that everyone can use it when they need it.

Rob Delaney you're amazing and so is Catastrophe but please don't encourage foreigners to abuse the NHS, it's amazing but it's also in crisis and we can't afford to free fund the world who might think it's cheaper to buy a plane ticket than pay for treatment in their own country, what we're you thinking

It so true about London and food! When I was growing up the food in London was so bland that it was a running joke. Then suddenly it became super cosmopolitan and now I make trips to London specifically to eat at their restaurants. London as food destination, how did that happen?

Teeth thing is a myth. U. K. and Germany statistically have the best teeth in the world. Being in London. 50% of the population is not British. So. hes not seeing British teeth. Plus. isnt it a little racist? Grouping people and stereotyping physical appearance?

My biggest gripe with the UK is most homes do not have air conditioning and summers can be extremely hot contrary to popular belief. Before I get hate I'm English talking from experience

UK Dentistry is Private, there are some NHS Dentists but you still have to pay at the check out. Youngsters who are in full time education are covered by the NHS and their treatment is free.

We should not be giving free health care to people who have not contributed. No wonder the NHS is unable to cope. Visitors can buy insurance just the same as we do when we travel abroad.

Statistically the UK has better teeth in terms of health than the USA. However, having bleached, white, teeth is culturally a sign of success in the United States.

In the UK there's actually a debate that the NHS is being privatised or will somehow end up like the US system, and then you listen to this, and, it's emotional.
