A factor that I realized is important in people's beliefs on remarriage after widowhood, that nobody talks about, is their belief in wether there is an afterlife or death is final. Widows and Widowers who were married to the one and then lost them are uncomfortable with this confusion between the two for the rest of their lives (trust me, I've read extensively on this, but one of the biggest reasons people are divided on this is bad on their beliefs as to wether the departed is actually nothingness dead or perhaps in an afterlife; the second belief causes this psychological discomfort in people that the departed will somehow know what the bereaved is doing and that this remarriage is a sign to the ghost that they have fallen out of love with them.

Wow. the man pours his heart out over the beautiful, and in today's society, very unique way that he and his new wife fell in love with each other, and what does Jimmy immediately hit him with? Durr, how bout dat Lasagna word? I know these shows are just giant advertisements, but damn Jimmy, you couldn't have given that ten seconds worth of reflection?

I have read alot of the comments here and alot of the stories are heart breaking and non should be compared to the other. in saying that, Patton you are a hero to many of us, and because of the way you grieved it showed many of us its okay to be happy after a loved one is gone. You are a very important person to all of us.

Its been 21 years since my husband died and Ive never been on a date. This is no way to live. I loved being married. I am so happy for this man finding someone new. Moving on is the best thing to do. His wife would want him to find someone new for her daughter and him. Life is short and hes not wasting it. Good for him.

Of course it's wonderful that he's happy. But I always feel a bit sad for myself when I hear such stories because it takes me much much longer to move on from heartbreak and it's never been that easy for me to find someone new after losing someone I love - I do feel men tend to move on more quickly.

Why would anyone criticize this man for moving on. Its what his late wife would want. Shes gone and thats it how long or for what reason is this dude suppose to wallow in his misery before its OK for him to find some else. No. hell no lifes to short. Good for him.

Its really sweet that he still has his old wedding ring on. It actually looks pretty cool having a ring on both hands, then again multiple rings on fingers makes me think of the Mandarin from Iron Man.

That's really nice he was able to find someone new to share his life with. Sometimes people aren't able to find happiness after such a loss so it's always inspiring to see someone build a new life.
