Why a gun? I pierced my ears when I was 12 with a gun (at a hairdresser) because none in my family knew any better. Luckily it went well and none of my holes have been infected.
A few days go I pierced my upper lobes with at an actual piercer and damn the difference was huge. First of all it wasn't as painful as the gun, and secondly my ears wasn't in pain afterwards as they had been using the gun. And I think already there it says a lot. I'll pierce my ears again (after my new holes are healed) and I'll definitely be going to an actual piercing studio again.

You can be any age to get your ears pierced but if you are under 13 years old you must be accompanied by an adult but if you are under 18 years old you must have your parent's permission.
