Can John Lithgow Remember His Own Movie Lines?

video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
John talks about writers laughing at their own material, shooting 3rd Rock from the Sun, working with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, hanging out with Jerry Seinfeld, wanting to be an artist, his time in radio, his poetry book Trumpty Dumpty Wanted a Crown: Verses for a Despotic Age, and since he has been in so many movies, Jimmy challenges him to a round of Did I Say That?

Look at him! Genuinely thrilled to be there, still after all this time! I have a friend in the movie business and he says sure, there are jerks from time to time, but most of the successful ones are good, kind people. because if you're a jerk, no one will want to work with you again. Screaming at people gets you nowhere. Cheers to John Lithgow, who DOES have a great pair of hands.

John Lithgow is a saint and I hope we are blessed to continue see more of him. Honestly, 3rd Rock will forever be iconic and a savior
P. S. I love how he still loves Joseph like he has always does and I am sure the same way. But you always hear it in a family way, not a way like he should, because broadway (if it makes sense. They are authentic.

Most of my recollections of John is from the comedies he starred in but I will never forget how well he portrayed a bad guy in Cliffhanger with Stallone. Looking forward to seeing him in the Dexter reboot.

As a child the first film I can recall seeing him in, several times, was Santa Claus with Dudley Moore. Always remember his a-haw's when his goon talks to him.

I hope to one day become popular enough of a musician to play this show
and be able to exercise my disdain for the filmography of Matt Damon. ;p

My favorite line:
Laugh-a while you can, monkeyboy!

John Lithgow's reading of the poem was magnificent and it looked like Jimmy Kimmel was sincerely taken by it.

He has so much talent. He's super funny but he can play a Psycho too. Loved him in Raising Cain
