While you and your ego have enjoyed promoting Your bowl as being the only one named after a man, I DID remind you beforehand that the Grantland Rice Bowl was named after GR. Now, while I understand that it's tough to go up against the man whose famous line was: It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game, I believe you whiffed by not giving him the recognition he deserves rather than deleting/whatever my comment and not acknowlegding his words and deeds.
Your sponsorship of the game is noteworthy, applauded and I Did enjoy the game. Thank you for that. But don't let it go to your head lest you find yourself in a predicament where you have to come up with an observation that resounds through the ages - in the sports world as well as in life!

Years ago a real beaver made it up the Willamette ( dam it) to Corvallis and downed the ornamental trees on the lawns in front of medical professionals offices. They decided to trap the beaver. It was quite the controversy trapping the mascot of the university. I suppose that was Bernices fate.
