Gilbert did some performances at a benefit(s) for St. Jude's Hospital, with some of the parents of children who where currently or previously in the Hospital. Things were serious and not terribly upbeat before he was introduced. He prepared them for and then delivered his full bore act that was suitable for the raunchiest of comedy rooms, which was exactly what they needed at the time, instead of some observational humor pablum. The crying and tears were from laughter, and the experience for many in the audience was cathartic. For whatever reason, the performance isn't on line any more and the only reference is a teaser for it. Too bad it can't be found and put up again so people can remember what a decent human being he was and how often he defused really bad feelings and turned them into howling laughter. Maher said he was the King of Too Soon, I would re-state it slightly and say he was our societal IED disposer.

Bill Maher is willing to go to just about any lengths to rid the U. S. of President Donald Trump including economic collapse.
I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, Im hoping for it, Maher said.
Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So please, bring on the recession, he said. Sorry if that hurts people, but its either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.

His special Adulting is basically just an extended monologue. It's alright, but in a few years it will be obsolete because of the sheer amount of topical politicization in Bill Maher's act.

I wonder if Bill Maher will ask Mike Tyson about the incident on the plane where he assaulted a passenger. My guess is Tysons lawyer will tell him not to comment on it.

While not a Maher fan ( politically the guy is kind of a hack, I do agree with his take on comedy. Comedians should never have to apologise for a joke. never.
