Jim Jefferies, if you're watching, look up Chanca Piedra just in case you get another one, fingers crossed you don't, but it's a natural product that helps break up the stones to help you pass them. LIFE SAVER! I've had dozens of kidney stones, sometimes several at once; Unfortunately, I know that pain VERY WELL. Morphine or not, idk how you did that gig, zero percent chance I could have with stones, just no way! So kudos to you, because Morphine didn't help my pain at all, and I had stones for over three straight months in early 2022 (most under 4mm, but it was absolute hell! Chanca Piedra, Flomax (and a sh t ton of water / lemon water) eventually got me through it. Glad to hear you're feeling better though. Up that water intake!

Love Jim, but a 6mm kidney stone ain't that large. My last one was 14mm, and I didn't need surgery. they blasted it with a laser and I urinated sand for the next 2 days. Also, Jim should start taking Chanca Pietra. It is a Peruvian plant product that breaks down calcium deposits in your body. most kidney stones are made out of calcium (less common causes are uric acid or struvite, so it can be hugely helpful. I take two a day and haven't had a stone since.

i'm surprised the hospital in Canada didn't use lithotripsy (either shockwave or laser) to break up the stone. i had shockwave lithotripsy done, felt like small electrocution (or snapped by a rubber band continuously) until the area felt kinda numb. and then back in the room i just drank a lot of water, jumped up and down for a while to help) push the pieces down, and peed. i didn't feel the pieces going out.

The ironic part of the story is it's usually quite easy to tell the difference between a patient passing a kidney stone and one with a burst appendix from across the room. Stone patient is writhing in pain and can't find a comfortable position and burst appendix patient is completely still because any movement makes the pain worse. And it would have been a CT, not an MRI. But good story

Been there, done that. Unbelievable pain, made me nauseous, and peeing blood is not reassuring. Doctors told me to stay more hydrated in the future. And I am, because nobody wants to do that twice. Women are amazing, they go through that kind of pain, often more than once. Voluntarily!

I had the same experience. Kidney stones thinking it was appendix. Screaming like hell at the ER. But for me morphine didn't work, so theu gave smth else. All I remember is the bill was 20 thousand dollars. Btw, I gave birth naturally. Kidney stones hurt more

Lol Kingston isn't a small town, it's got like 150, 000 people in it or something. Also, yeah maybe cut back on the junk food a bit, but honestly just drink a lot of water all the time and you shouldn't have an issue (or at least not 6mm)

6 to 9 kidney stones a year, since i took Ibandronate for osteoporosis. in 2007.
I have gotten used to it now - except when the journey of the stone stops about 2 inches before the exit.
Gods great plan!

As an Australian who has had kidney stones firstly, I wish I could tell a story as well as Jim Jeffries.
Secondly yeah I have been through that. The nurse I talked to said it s like giving birth to something spiky.

A lady I cleaned for kept her husband's gall stone, along with a few other interesting looking stones. I'd never seen a gall stone before so, naturally, I dusted it along with everything else on a weekly basis for years

Jeffries is such a poossy
I just recently passed an 8+mm little baby. and without morphine!
And not happy enough with that, I am trying to pass a couple of smaller ones right now!
Anyway, it sucks!

Is it me, or did Jimmy seem annoyed? This was such a hilarious & an awesome story! This story will definitely put Jeffries back on the map - like his US gun control bit, which is one of the Best!

I've had 2 kids one completely natural and 2 kidney stones. The pain from the kidney stone hurt soooo much more than natural childbirth I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone!

I feel your pain, Jim. I presented at a Melbourne hospital with kidney stones. They took one look at me and diagnosed it. Horrible, horrible experience.
