-buwg Yes, but there is a reason for that. Console manufacturers have been working very hard to get you all onto their own -closed loop- systems. They do not like the openness of the PC gaming, they cannot keep control. Look at the XBOX live bans for a graphic example of this. Also, look at the chaos caused recently by the PS3 screw up! And to make matters worse the gameplay HAS suffered. You cannot ever put a console player against a PC player because the console players would be pwned

I don't understand you people. This game is meant for one hell of a time and having fun. It's. DUKE NUKEM. What the heck did you expect? And personally, the graphics are sick. I don't understand why they're so good for such a game like this. All you people wining saying. They've been making this for 12 years and look how bad this looks! They havn't been making it for that long you idiots lol. Just a joke in the game. Whatever forget it. I feel pathetic even argueing about this. It's fun

-95Gabe. Microsoft were going to mix PC and XBOX players, but gave up the idea when they tried and found how ludicrous an idea it was. So my whole point about the mad rush for consoles weakening the gameplay experience is in fact completely on target. It may be that you are young and/or just have not thought it through sufficiently. I agree that PC's do not have the monopoly on good games. it is just that those games would have been better on a half decent PC. End of argument.

-HatersGonnaHate1000 Good grief. Unless you are a games developer I have no idea why you are taking this personally. I bought and paid for all my own computers (and built most because I had to to save money. Consoles are being pushed because they are a closed system and the manufacturers have TOTAL control over content AND access. XBOX360 online bans are a glaring example of that. PC games don't hold the monopoly on being good, but they are where the greatest development is.

-Froobat im enclined to say that i agree, and i am a huge nukem fan, i mean if i had the ps1 i'd play em all, man fun times on that, blowin s--- up n stuff, thts the problem with game developers, i think they feel they need to make a deadline, and its crap, cause, they should be able to take time to make a very good game that the magority will love, such as oblivion, and other games that were as sucessful because time was taken, and look at the masterpeice they brought out.

-phreakindee Ah well wouldn't be the first time a game clunked on the console but fared better on the PC; I've always preferred shooting games on the PC anyway and this was moreless made with the PC in mind: ) Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown (3D for the PS) for the playstation was clunky compared to Duke Nukem 3D on the PC etc This game is good but sadly will be put down by the whole development hell thing and people that can't appreciate the classic feel: S

-95Gabe Well aren't you the evangelist. Being on consoles does not limit the amount of weapons your protagonist can carry, the blame for that rests solely on the shoulders of the developers for wanting to overly-modernize the formula. As for linear gameplay, Duke 3D already had that in abundance, and even so have you even looked at the amount of open world games on consoles? It's insane, and in no way did being on consoles make this game linear.

-buwg Should I pepper my comments with swear words and go all -Cal- so that I look street tough like you are with your guns peeping out your trouser belt so that my comment may get taken more seriously? Hey, I wouldn't want to argue with a tough guy like you right? I mean swearing and all. shows how big and bad you are right? Other than that your point of view is completely invalid. I guess that is why you swear. Tough guy LOL. NOT!

If they fixed Duke's movement (made it like a classic FPS, with fast movement and a sprint that only makes you move faster, added more enemies, and gave him his full arsenal, this game would honestly be so much better. As it is, it's not horrible, just lacking. If the game had what I described (and a few level tweaks to acommodate) the game probably wouldn't have been shat on by everyone and their brother.

The -2 weapons only- system should be reserved for games that try for realism (like ARMA or the like, for games that are shooters where realism is not important (Duke being a prime example, because let's face it, is anything taken seriously) it should not. I don't know much about DNF and haven't played it, nor do I know if any of this has changed, but that's my two cents.
