LGR Plays - Duke Nukem 3D [Lunar Apocalypse]
video description
There's one exception i can think of where you use the stick AND the D-pad, it's a minigame in Pokemon Stadium, where (you guessed it) you don't use A, B, C, or R!

I'm playing through this episode and I'm glad I selected a lowe difficulty (unless you're also playing on Let's Rock. It's hard enough as is. The enemies in this stage are very annoying; a drone that rams Duke and explodes, those lizard things with heat scan machine guns that are weak to slow firing shotguns, and an abundance of battle lords with heat scan weapons. Amazing how they got away with that.

I hear you talk highly of the Adlib music. It's great in games that really push it but it's kinda -meh- in Duke3D. The gold standard for General MIDI games was the Roland SC-55. I remember an interview with Lee Jackson about the title theme that said he used a Roland SC-88 for his songs in the game. Indeed the original CD audio title track on the Atomic CD was just a MIDI recording from an 88.

Am I the only person who enjoyed playing Duke Nukem Forever?
I've heard people constantly bash it and saying its a disgrace, and I just don't get why.
I found it a decent game, it had some flaws, sure, but they could be overlooked and I've definately played much worse games.
Anyway, great gameplay, LGR.
Your Duke Voice rivals Jon St. John. :D

I bought this game back in December on GOG, I was on the fence about it, but after hearing you praise the game so much, I bought it for really cheap and I'm glad I did. I just finished episode 2 and now I'm watching to see what I missed while playing.

In both Zero Hour and 64 you could save the babes, though. Which, honestly, was a great feature and improvement. It was another thing to be on the look out for to get maximum, and it fit the Duke persona. He saves chicks.

I had Duke 3D on the PS1 and didn't think it was all that great, i thought Doom was a better old school shooter. I've actually never understood people's love for the character either and i'm a huge fan of 1980's action movies.
