Playing through the entire first Christmas episode of Jazz Jackrabbit from 1994! Pitu: This made me love Jazz Jackrabbit. When I was 4 years old I played this one on a 286 without sound on black-and-white screen. I beat that to death, and when I finally got to that santa bit at the end. oh my, it was a blast! About year later I got full version (CD + extra episodes) and had a chance to feel that music and full-blown color pallete on my own. And it was glloooorrious! xD I still love this one.
Btw: those renditions of christmas songs are still playing in my head, and I can recognize them whenever they appear (your christmasy intros for example: D )

I also think Holiday Hare 95 is better. It has two holiday themed stages that give it extra variety, a better balance of enemies and of course there were no demons in that one, so our mum didn't tell us off for playing it! It's just a shame I can't find an abandonware copy that includes the holiday episodes along with the full release. I know I shouldn't be playing abandonware games, but because this game is so rare and expensive, and Epic refuses to re-release a copy on Steam or anywhere for that matter, I don't really have much of a choice.

There's a high-res patch for this that makes it so you can see where you are going and generally improve the looks of things, but since there is still an active community of online death match professionals. somehow. you can't get it!
It's considered Unethical by Jazz Jackrabbit 2 purists so it's not available for download anywhere, or at least wasn't while I was putting together Hyperspin earlier in the year. Yes I am aware of how ridiculous this sounds.

Damn, I loved this game in my childhood but only had the shareware version from one of the one hundred demo disc if you still remember those disc like on Playstation 1.
I'm considering to buy or get the full version of this game because this reminds me how a good game could be if some developer weren't moneywh-re at this time like nowadays (not all of them.
Anyway, there is a also a game called -Abuse- it was also awesome in my opinion.

Wow I got kind of sad when you made me realize this came out 20 years ago. And yes these are probably the worst JJ levels but it's still fun. I also still get excited over those screenshots, when I got the Jazz CD version (after playing the shareware version countless times) it was pretty much the best birthday gift ever!

Damn, I was obsessed with Jazz as a kid. I was so good at it too. Recently I downloaded it to relive my childhood, but I sucked so badly I had to give up. Still love the music, though. Too bad there were no more games after the terrible sequel.

I remember the demo of this from the 1001 Great Games CD we bought from Staples way back in the day. Some crazy crap on that thing! There was also some pretty interesting -indie games- (guess that's what they'd be) on there too that never went big.

You know, watching this video made me want to play the game again. And I came to the conclusion that you're just not very good at the game, sorry to say. :P Though the small view area definitely becomes an issue in later episodes.

Unrelated question: -the Hunter Primal- just came out, and as you played The Hunter, will you try that too? I'm very curios about it personally, but it's not free-to-play so I'm looking around for opinions and some actual reviews.

Thanks for a nice Christmassy trip down memory lane, Clint.
I hope you'll put out more Christmas videos before. ya know. Christmas!
In case you don't. Merry Christmas and thanks for all the entertainment!
