Strange's arc in Infinity War was absolutely amazing.
And if you think about it, he was the only one that went toe to toe with Thanos and held his own.
And he didn't even use the power of the Time Stone once, which was his most powerful weapon.
I'm assuming for the purpose of the story, he didn't use it and had to give it up to Thanos simply because he saw the only outcome that would mean beating Thanos was to let that fight play out and ending in Thanos winning and getting all of the stones.
If it wasnt for Iron Man eventually getting whipped and almost killed, Strange probably could have made it one hell of a battle.
I really hope we get to see just as much of him in Avengers 4 as we did in Infinity War. Something tells me even though he was vanquished by the finger snap, he'll still have a role to play while he is stuck in what most likely is some sort of Astral Plane connected to the Soul Stone.
My guess would be that he could still contact Wong from there and could relay some important information to the who are still around after the finger snap.

A lot of people don't know much about Doctor Strange and his powers. Just wait until his Prime. A Peak Strange that is when he becomes Sorcerer Supreme is way more powerful than any of the Avengers. Even Captain Marvel. Heck Thanos is just breeze for him when he's at the peak of his powers. Personally he's one of my favourite characters alongside Captain America and Spiderman.

The reason why Dr. Strange gave up the Time Stone is because that was the only situation where the Avengers win, not because it would save Tony's life. In all the other situations, Dr Strange did not give up the stone. And by giving it to him, in that one situation, will allow the Avengers to win.

So, who is Cumberbatch's Strange going to be talking to in that mystery CGI scene in Avengers 4? While many have speculated Dormammu and one recently, Eternity, my bet is on The Living Tribunal. B/c he is set up in the original Dr. Strange movie by Mordo's use of his staff!

I have always thought that Dr Strange was based on Jack Parsons, or at least inspired by him. He was the founder of JPL laboratories, and an occultist, from the line of Alister Crowley. Not to mention that Dr Strange bears a striking resemblance to Jack Parsons.

In the movie of Dr strange they showed only little powers of him which itself was awesome. if they show all his powers which he had in comics that's it! he would be the most powerful hero in the mcu
