The Most Frustrating TV Finales Ever Made
video description
The ending of True Blood pissed me off, and I definitely think it could have easily been made better, but I also kind of understand the symbolism of it.
Sookie doesnt end up with any of her love interests (that are all supernatural) and instead they just show her eventually marrying a normal human man, whos face we never get to see. Which was probably a good idea, because if theyd shown his face the ending would have been even worse.
Still, I sort of understand the symbolism they were trying to go for (no supernatural love interest, a normal human husband = normal non supernatural life) but it was poorly executed.

Just checked this video to see if Penny Dreadful was mentioned. It is, so I was not disappointed in that respect.
That show however was clearly cut short before it should have, so this video has it completely wrong about all characters allegedly being wrapped up in the last chapter. They were not. Clearly some characters introduced during the 3rd season (Dr. Jackyll, Catriona) were intended to be developed much further, but they were not, coitus interruptus-like. Quite pointless to have introduced them with such a finale right then. So at the start of the 3rd season, and even beyond the middle of it, the show showed clearly that there were no intentions to end it right then in the 3rd season.

Penny dreadfuls ending was the worst! It was such an interesting show with many possibilities only to end with a loser vampire, ugly at that, that gets her dead in the end. All the strength Penny showed throughout the series went out the window with everyone leaving her all alone with her letting in a vampire dude that was nothing more then a dead ugly jerk with hardly any power. all that drama for that? The writers must have all been depressed, drunk, angry, going through divorces, got a severe cut in pay. ? Someone had it out for the show to end so lousy. They should have been fired for that pile of trash ending on such a great show, never to write again for anything.

How I met your mother should not be on that list.
I loved the finale, it's also the only finale that made sense. If you were watching this show and truly thought it was about how he met their mother than you're an idiot. But it's the title. Shut up moron. Ted wouldn't have started the story 7 years before actually meeting their mother if that was truly what it was about. No. It was always about Robin. Any person with a brain could have seen that. He started the story when he met her. Duh!
Of course, most people are dumb. That's what I learned from the LOST finale. People actually thought they were all dead since the beginning. Idiots.

Yea, I definitely remember most people's reaction to the end of HIMYM. Not only were they pissed because the mother got killed off, but also because Ted ended up getting back together with Robin. I mean, the show was called How I Met Your Mother, not How I Met Your Mother, Then Eventually Watched Her Die, Then Attempted to Re-connect With An Old Flame.
Now, I watched True Blood within the last year or so, so I didn't end up finding out what people's reaction was to that ending, but when I watched the series finale, I too thought that how the show ended was nothing more than a huge f'ing disappointment.

I would've liked to see True Blood buck the status quo and be with both vampires. I also found Sookie annoying toward the end. In my opinion, Sookie was supposed to be a character that made her own idea of happiness and decided her own fate. I don't think she would have fought through so many trials just to end up with a random guy so she could feel whole by having children. Hollywood can we have one daring and independent woman be written differently that goes beyond societal norms?

What really disappointed me was the last half of the last episode of an HBO series called Carnivale. Afterward it seemed pretty obvious that it had been suddenly canceled and the writers just had no way to throw together any kind of plot resolution. I really loved where that show was going, and it was shocking, just like with the last example in this video, to realize that I was watching the very end of it, just as the story had been starting to develop.

True Blood should have followed the book ending and I wouldn't have felt so disappointed. Don't get me wrong I'm glad the TV series included characters that would have died off in the book but most of the sub-plots they butchered. Sookie ending up with Eric, sharing blood with him over time slowly changing her in to a fairy vampire creature much better of an ending.

Who here thinks Game of Thrones will be on this list soon? You'll notice soap style series are hard to wrap up. You have so many plotlines and characters to wrap up, it just becomes an exercise in wrapping things up instead of writing good stories. True Blood's final season was a disaster and I'm afraid Game of Thrones is heading that way.

the ending of HIMYM has been decided from the start, the scene with the kids in the end was filmed during the 2nd season if I remember correctly, so it was always going to be the ending, they just didn't foresee where the rest of the story was going to go and how much the Mother was going to be so well loved.
