I kinda got annoyed by the complete lack of immersion though. GI joes just casually talking whilst walking down an OPEN FIELD. Completely relaxed.
The germans are actually suicidal, and have no common sense at all. Also what of the soldiers in the guard towers, where are the barracks? Seriously no machine-gun hole in the entranceway? It's like an idiot designed the place.
I honestly feel like this could've been a much more enjoyable movie had they tried to more accurately integrate the war. And maybe end up with a bigger squad. You can still have a core few likeable actors with everyone else being cannon fodder.

Seriously? They sent a bunch of noobs on a mission which was pretty vital as it would determine the outcome of the war. And the gun battle scenes were graphically realistic but kinda felt unrealistic too as the main characters aren't getting shot, the Germans were just shooting like puppets. BTW, I loved the movie so much It was very suspenseful. I loved Boyce's perspective, he wanted peace. I was a great movie. Those who haven't watched it, I would suggest you to do it.

i was expecting more supernatural experiments but was ok overall i kinda wana knw how the movie would have been diff if they decided to try and include it in the clover verse. also why have only one black paratrooper? you might as well have the whole platoon mixed up so it doesnt seem like you jus forced it granted the ssgt was black to but come on

I don't believe they were any more infected in the village other than Chloe's aunt. Captain Wafner allowed her certain privileges such as being one of the only people allowed out after curfew, in return for well, raping her. That's why he ordered her aunt to be taken care of. There were clearly no other infected at the resolution of the film.

OVERLORD definitely have more than enough material - pointed out in this very video - to continue as a ALTERNATE HISTORY genre franchise, with BOYCE and the woman as main characters. What if the NAZIS continued on in the 1950s or 1960s, finding the substance elsewhere and continuing to create new monsters?

The WW2 movies are getting so damn annoying.
They shouldve made the ending more realistic:
The americans taking over the lab and start producing the Super soldiers themselve or just start making the Captain America Serum!

Need prequel one. Since Ford is actually know Franz before Operation Overlord. So, we might be get Operation Avalanche or Operation Husky one, which is will encountering another myth to raise.
Or it'll be another generation story, but set to Vietnam War.

I wouldve liked more horror thrown in it but other than that, I really liked this movie, perfect blend of action, war, and horror, the thing I really liked was it was similar to a zombie Easter egg and the final fight was the boss battle, pretty badass.

I thought it was an awful movie, but I really think it just doesnt fit my taste. it made me feel sick and I almost walked out. Just too much. I thought there were way too many jump scares and the writing could have been better
