And while I agree that Frollo's death was the nastiest in HoND, I was also deeply upset by Quasimodo's mother's demise in the opening sequence. She bashes her skull in on the cathedral steps. When I first watched it as an adult, I was surprised to discover that there's no sound, as my memories had inserted a sickening, wet CRUNCH at that point. Clearly, even though Disney didn't go quite that dark, the effect was so much the same that my kid's imagination actually heard her skull shatter.
As others have mentioned, Clayton accidentally hanging himself belonged on here too. I'd also like to point out that Facilier getting dragged into the Loa realm was pretty unpleasant (mostly just due to his terrified pleading, and Scar got straight-up EATEN ALIVE.

now my question is, becasue as I got older my opinion on things have changed, but just because something is made by Disney does that automatically make it kid friendly maybe the movie is made by Disney it was a movie for adults I caught a peek of who framed rojer rabbit bad guy at the end freaked me out. the jungle book surprisingly I never questioned the deaths they just went bye bye in my opinion, but it's a movie for an adult not kids I would almost say the bambi isn't a kid movie as well I know if I have a kid I probably wouldn't let them see it because it's boring and sad. pirates I would probably wait till they're at least 12 years old give or take, because as fun as it is it's not a kids movie it's a teen movie in my opinion

Land Before Time alone tops the mom dies-moment of Bambi tenfold by having Littlefoot hear his mothers last words, watch her die in front of his eyes and then goes on to mourn her for several scenes after (whereas Bambi just calls out for his mom for a bit, gets told by his dad that she won't be coming and cut right to a happy spring song)

1979's 'The Black Hole' has several beauties - Dr Alex Durant (Anthony Perkins) is disembowelled by evil robot Maximillian's spinning blades; Dr Reinhardt is crushed under a huge videoscreen, and heroic robot 'Old B. O. B. ' is destroyed by Maximillian, and floats off into space. Plus, you have the crew of the U. S. S. Cygnus, who are lobotomised to the point of being vegetables, and might as well be dead. It's one of my favourite movies.

Funny. The older cartoons did not traumatize me or my siblings. We all didn't relate to cartoons as most did-cartoons were not living beings. But then came Hokus-Pocus with the witch sisters who were live action - not animated. We were not traumatize-but instilled with the idea that witches were real and chased after children like us. I recall the Sanders sisters killing two little girls in that flick. i maybe wrong don't bet on it.

One scene that wouldve been a good addition to this video would have to be Hoppers death scene in A Bugs Life; that part is both scary and comical. What makes it scary is that people know that what happens is going to be very unpleasant, while what makes it funny is seeing how scared Hopper is before he meets his end in the beaks of the baby birds. I essentially call it a well-deserved death for a truly evil villain.

Oh, I was expecting to see some very different scenes. Like the evil queen from Snow White, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, the curious oysters in Alice in Wonderland, Tod's mother from The Fox and the Hound, Ursala from the Little Mermaid, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I was expecting to strictly see the cartoons that are geared towards children the most. Not the live action Jungle Book and Davy Jones.

Mighty Joe Young when the young girl's mom is killed by poachers, or how in the original Beauty and the Beast how Gaston falls and then is inpailed. There are so many more Frankenweenie, I watched a movie a year ago the was released by Disney in the 80's but had Touchstone label about a plane crash and cannablism. The Village is another that is brutal.
