Another fishy thing was the so called critics that walked out of the movie in the middle of it. What professional critic would do such a thing? Also, you will never know their names because they don't exist. Since there is no more investigative journalism you will never find out that it was a bunch of hog wash.
Dark Phoenix was a beautiful, emotional and powerful film. A drama / psychological thriller about the X-Men featuring Jean Grey. Oh and it had some kick ass moments in it as well. The best movies I saw this year were Alita Battle Angel, Dark Phoenix, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the Joker.

Dark Phoenix is the equivalent of weapon x/deadpool. its an unknown/non important character no one gives a rats ass about. X-men origins wolverine was horrible (box office wise) because it revolved around that weapon x/deadpool nonsense. Its the 3rd worst x-men movie (box office. Deadpool is another unknown/unimportant character which should have flopped but the director threw in jokes/mature stuff and used an actual known actor in his own film to save it. I've been watching movies for ages and have never seen this actress before.

I dont listen to critics, thankfully. I go and watch a movie because its in a genre I enjoy. And I enjoyed Dark Phoenix.
Wish people and critics would let us figure shit out for ourselves. I dont need someone who gets paid to review films, or just disgruntled fans, to tell me how to feel or what to like. Oh and isnt it so funny how many bad reviews pop up BEFORE a film debuts. strange that. Not that many film critics to explain that.

Before I watched dark Phoenix I was thinking it was going to be bad and it ended up being bad. I didnt like how thy tried to do the whole oh no the main character is dead. but is she? Im pretty sure everybody who watched that movie has seen the other movie and know that she cant die if this is a prequel and she is in the movie set after that one (plus main characters just dont die)

It's probably something Disney did to pacify the X-Men fans so they're not as furious over no more authentic X-Men movies being developed in the near future, except for those that are Avengers movies disguised as X-Men movies. They did that with The Amazing Spiderman 2. People are blind to all the strings that the puppet masters pull.

Am i the only one who wonders why Sophie became an actress? I mean shes not a good actress at all. her acting was bad in got and bad in this one too. I think marvel wanted to use her got fame for the movie I cant think of another reason why she got this role.

Rotten tomatoes is hardly the best yardstick for measuring what movies are good or bad imo. that being said this was basically everything that was wrong with Last Stand but with younger characters. Fox just cant get it right it seems. Same story with fantastic four.

Still if I have to think of the worst x-men movie it would have to be days of future past. Actually every movie with time travel gets me so annoyed cause of plot holes ect, but this particular movie just goes back and undoes everythink that happened so far lol
