Spider-Man Movie Villains Ranked Worst To Best Radioactive: Sandman was actually a really good villain in my opinion. His transformation scene, his motives, the visual effects during his fight scenes, he was one of my favorites. If only Spider-Man 3 would have been split into two parts, with Peter getting the symbiote at the end of 3 as a cliffhanger, it could have worked out. I think they should have made Sandman the main villain in three, and then have Harry and Venom in the sequel. They could have even took a risk with having Eddie die at the end of the 2nd Act, and having Harry somehow get the symbiote for the final fight scene

Comments and reviews: 7

1. Doc Ock
2. Defoe Green Goblin
3. Vulture
4. Mysterio
5. Snowboard Goblin (some cool fight scenes
8. Shocker (kinda weird how they had 2 shockers. The first one was more classic shocker and the second was a new version)
7. Tinkerer (not much screen time but he did help create equipment for villains which was cool)
8. Sandman (boring but some deep moments)
9. Venom (not as bad as people think)
10. Black Cat (believe it or not, the character did appear in AS2 but wasnt black cat yet. Barely screen time and not really a villain yet but she was more interesting than all the other villains in both movies.
11. Lizard (boring as hell but comic accurate mostly)
12. Electro (too cartoony and poor execution.
13. AS2 Harrys Goblin (was cheesy and poor writing. Not entirely bad as people say but understandable)
14. Rhino (was shown in the posters and in trailers and only appeared in the suit the last 5 minutes of the movie. No point of even having him.
Honorable mentions:
Pizza lady (salty but kinda hot)
The Rent Man
Mr. Jameson (no other can do a better job of that character)
The symbiote that sits in the background of AS2.
The uncle murderer from Spider-Man 1

i still think things would have been perfect if venom just survived. spidey and goblin manage take him down, but harry dies leaving a huge cap in peters life. especially since sandman sees his mistake and just decides to not exist anymore. so peter is alone when eddie is swearing to get even.
then eddie is taken to jail with symbiote separated from him. there he just lifts weights and chants his growing obsession over peter. he could have returned in sm4 or vulture, mysterio or whoever could have had their time in sm4 before the real venom strikes
anyway i think doc ock and sandman are the true knocks out of park. plenty of other good ones. but the garfield ones are just thoroughly weak.

Vulture and Mysterio had very lazy backstories. They're villains because of Stark just so they could keep dragging the Peter/Tony relationship longer. Goblin and Doc Ock were real villains with real motivations with perfect arcs throughout they're movies. Hell, even Sandman and New Goblin had near perfect arcs. Eddie Brock was messy but his motivations was clear throughout. The only villains Vulture and mysterio rank better than is the TASM villains. Those were weak ones

Am I the only one that actually liked the Green Goblin costume in Spider-Man? Like yeah, its a bit power ranger looking and miles away from the comics, but it still looks creepy and it was a cool different take of style. Prefer his comic look but the films were trying to make it a bit more realistic so if you can appreciate it for that take on it, I think it is quite a badass looking suit.

Doc Ock, Mysterio, and Vulture were definitely outstanding, and Sandman was a greatly utilized character (emotionally at least, but in my opinion William Dafoe as Green Goblin is still the best. For the time, he was such a booming, heartless, intimidating character. And even after his death his shadow still seemed to loom over the trilogy.
The cunning warrior attacks the heart.

Vulture is one of the weakest spider man villains. Doc Oc>>> Vulture anyday. Oc has actually lost more than Vulture. Sure vulture lost his job; but Oc lost both his job that is a higher degree than construction management. AND his beloved wife in the same god damn day! Doc Oc is both smarter and more versatile than Vulture and the acting is overall better.

The incarnation of the Green Goblin in Metal Armor was Pathedic looking! But His alterego Norman Osbourne played by William Dafoe was great! The 2nd Incarnation of the Green Goblin was even worse! The 3rd incarnation is not even worth mentioning so we have 3 green goblins & none of them look nothing close to their comic book counter part!
