I think a female Thor should at the very least be an actress that not only has had violent roles in the past but has that Scandinavian-ish or Germanic look that a real female Thor would have, Natalie Portman is Middle Eastern, looks nothing close to a Scandinavian or Germanic and she's short as hell! I think she's a terrible choice. My candidates for female Thor would be Sophie Turner (aka Sansa Stark) and Alicia Witt; both actresses are tall (for women ofc, have played badass, batshit crazy and violent characters and they both have that Nordic Germanic look, either actress would be really epic as Thor in my opinion.

Might be calling her thor now but she'll still be Jane. She carry the old hammer while thor is carrying the new one. I believe if they want to do this than they'll be doing like Ant Man and The Wasp. Thor handing his old hammer to Jane as she dies maybe to save her life so they'll team up. It might still be thor's movie. If they balanced there time on screen like they did with Hulk and Thor on Ragnarok then it might be something to watch. HOWEVER! If they are fully replacing Thor for Jane well that's just a no no!

I don't see her as the female Mighty Thor. I'm the same height as her so I know how small she is. They should have put her in as a female Hawkeye or a whole new comic character from the Marvel world that fits her better. Chris was perfect for it but Natalie doesn't seem right. I love her but I guess we will see how it goes for the new movie. Thor will be shocked to see his ex as a female version of him. I don't know how she'll become one. She's not even a Greek God or Godess. She came from Earth.

Is this something that happened in the comic franchise or is it just another attempt by liberal Hollywood to fem up another male hero? This cant possibly go well. I like Natalie Portman. She is a very good actress. And hot as lava. But she wieghs in at what, 80 pounds at the most? And stands at about 5 foot nothing? Very unbelievable.

Yes forced diversity is a thing but is it really a problem? I mean if it's a pre existing story in the comics and they're not just gender swapping an already established character what's the problem? Also Natalie portman and taika waititi will make a hell of a combo.

I hate this she was bad in the original films the only reason why Thor 3 worked is because there was no human characters and we could have a space movie like guardians but now Thor himself is taken out of his movie and being put into guardians I just hate it
