Could possibly work if you involve new characters to play Forrest Gump in the early 80s through the 90s, timeline it about 35 years and bring in the original characters at the end. As a hobby, over two years came up with my version of how he would play out. Told someone I trusted about it and they couldn't stop laughing.

WOW, BELOVED? You clearly don't know the history that was being portrayed in the Forest Gump movie! Segregation, Racism, Watergate Scandal, VIETNAM WAR, etc, etc. People were dying, our country was being ripped apart, what's so beloved about that? I honestly think they should make a sequel!

funny they mentioned 911 because when i watched forrest gump i always thought of that to be in the movie and few days ago i typed tom hanks narrating and one of the videos that came up was actually tom hanks narrating 911 tragedy. what a coincidence

Didnt watch the video. Great movies dont need sequels, just like a Seven 2, PulpFiction 2, or any other great movie. A movie made to be a movie not a franchise should not get a sequel.

No. sequels don't do justice to good movies.
