What These Disney Live-Action Remakes Looked Like Before CGI tech2017: Out of the 13 or so live action remakes Disney has pumped out, they have only managed to make 2 good ones (Cinderella and The Jungle Book. The biggest problems have been the terrible CGI, the lack of understanding of what made the originals work, the fact that they were unnecessary lazy cashgrabs, and the actors (Except Will Smith, Glenn Close, Seth Rogen, Angelina Jolie, & Kevin Kline, ) giving horrid performances.

I definitely know the stresses being a animation artist myself. I was a intern to help with Monsters inc. with Pixar. Thats why most of the young artist are bald so fast. Its work! Full of introverts too because theyre so dedicated to working. They kind of forget about normal life outside though. A lot were sleeping at work during the week and go home on weekends. It was sad

I think the Cinderella remake is one if not the best of them, the costume design is to die for and the CGI doesn't feel overpowering, the best of all is the actresses performance for Cinderella and her evil step mother. Watching this movie takes me back to the original and makes me love the story once again.

The live remakes are not only horrific looking but its also gross how it takes fans of the originals for suckers, lowering their iq's and eagerness to find truly exceptional films created by true auteurs who care more about making art than bleeding ignorant people dry

i don't know. here i am on Christopher nolans site. cgi yes, but only subtle. my personal opinion too much cgi can ruin a movie. example: i love the lord of the rings movies, but the cgi in the hobbit movies was overkill to me.

Aladdin (2019) visual effects have advanced enough that audiences can see a gigantic blue version of Will Smith try to give the same performance. Technological progress has clearly gone too far.

Jon favreu is I think the closest to a gem that Hollywood has produced since James Cameron with regards to really evolving cinema at its best giving the best 3D experience to the audience
