The Ending Of Supernatural Explained

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
During the 15 years that Sam and Dean Winchester went around saving people and hunting things in a '67 Chevy Impala on Supernatural, the series reduced its fandom to a messy puddle of tears. However, the show's second (and final) swan song cuts the deepest. Supernatural creator Eric Kripke's no angel policy came to a fiery halt with Castiel way back in season 4. This particular trenchcoat wearing angel spends just over a decade unlearning thousands of years of angel bias and brutality. Even from his first few lines, Castiel understands Dean like no one else has not even Sam.

Sorry but Dean being my favorite this was such a bad ending for him, he got to live a week in his freedom and that it. He was forced into this life since 4/5yrs, always hinting at wanting a normal life but also thinking he would die young. So they ended the show by proving him right? It also was Chuck's ending, so even though they defeated him, Chuck wins in a way. It also felt that the writers had to ignore a lot of plot and character elements in order to make this ending. And the concept of the boys finally achieving freedom from God was never explored either, they just went back to what they were doing when they were controlled. So what was the point?
No hate to those who like it though, I thought that despite not liking it, Jared and Jensen did an amazing job.

I got my big sister to watch the show and she quickly became a Wayward Son like me. There s a pretty big gap in our ages and this show was a great way for us to be closer to each other. I m extremely grateful for that. And while it pains me to know it s over, Sam and Dean got the ending they deserved. It s cliche to say but it s true, the Winchester Bros, their story, and their legend will live on in all of us. That s what good stories do.

I would have the kid wraith (kid that swore to kill Dean after watching him kill his mother a few seasons back) track Dean down and kill him instead of some random vampire and would've done it about three episodes before it ends so people can actually soak in the fact that Dean is dead. Felt a little rushed but much better than most series finale (yeah, I'm talking to you Dexter and Game of Thrones )

I just starting to Netflix mass on I just finished season one and I'm starting season 2 right now. Big difference from the later seasons to the earlier seasons when you see how it was for them to hunt and how they really went for fear in their scares. Even the light filters gave it more dramatic look compared to later seasons.

This ending was good and definitely not odd like GOT, BUT I wish they would have given Dean a little more like have him older with a limp owning the bar he'd talked about in past seasons. To have him die so soon after finally becoming free of chucks wring sucked. It wasn't a bad ending though

Darn. it was a very very bad written and directed last three episodes. and to think that they ended the series in such a way infuriates me. i am both very sad and very angry. it should ve been handled better. supernatural the legend to end this way; ( darn gonna miss these winchester boys. ;(

I loved loved this show. Well acted, well scripted and a great ensemble of actors and actresses, although the body count was a bit high.
Sam and Dean had the best brother brother chemistry ever.
With their demise, what else do I have to watch, The Property Brothers?
Ugh!

I love you =! I am in love with you. Looper interpreted it wrongly. He was always a friend to Dean and it was the same kind of love that you would have to your brother or commrade in arms in the army you fought many wars. Never ever was there anything else there.

Ok so I hated this show after season 5. After season 8 I gave up on it and abandoned it. Hated a lot of the plot twists because they had nothing to do with the original plot. But watching this video has made me want to revisit the show in a new light.
