LOL you guys just keep nit picking. Those that think this is a ferngully or pocahontas story are just a few fries short of a happy meal. LOL Just the fact that the next avatar is 9 hours of filming shows you that the story is very immersive. Might have been better to show it as a mini series instead? I think the loss of any content is because of the size of the story. Gotta cut something somewhere. 3 hours is a long time to set without peeing LOL: )

I mean, it showed her fighting quite a bit in this movie, so I don't know what they are talking about. Also, with the death of her son, I would imagine the future sequels will dive heavily into how that affected her. And Jake.
I don't get why it was a big deal that it didn't show her much in this movie. The movie is supposed to be more about the kids

the same can almost be said about Jake Sully. He is a little more important in the story because of Quaritch revenge, but they are mostly the parents in this story. This movie is more about families and the kids, and how they grow up. I think she was treated well enough. the whole movie shows enough of the characters to know and care for them.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought too.
For me, Neytiri is the heart and soul of the first film.
And I was looking forward to seeing more of her.
Unfortunately, it seems that in the future the focus will be more on the kids.
in the worst case scenario, jake and neytiri will even become just side acts.

Lol people trying to criticise I have heard so much! No black actors, it s on for to long, plot holes, not enough of certain characters honestly! ANYONE watching these videos trust me this movie is frigging amazing! And one of the movies ever made go watch it in 3D

It was a 3hr 10min film but it was clearly a stage in the saga with more to come for her. This was really about the kids finding their place and learning about a different tribes world. I think the bad guy got the most character development out of everyone.

Just watched the movie. All I can say is that it's one of the coolest movies ever. The visuals, the music, the characters were all amazing. Can't wait for the sequels

Because avatar is about Jake Sully. You could literally say the same thing about Max, Norm, heck even Parker literally was on screen for not even 10 seconds.

I even thought Neytiri was going to die in the third act instead of Neytayam cause of how little of a role she played in the whole movie.
