You are forgetting something though. When Missy was trying to sneak out of the house, Old Sheldon mentioned that in that summer she tried to sneak out more than 35 times and she had her navel pierced. Obviously this is one emotional scene (again though considering the meta of George Sr's upcoming event, but that Sheldon's quote may minimize the emotion knowing that Missy is still has not changed.

Pastor Jeff isn't shady, he's judgmental. Divorce is totally different then having a child out of wedlock. Don't scream at me, I don't personally care just relaying my understanding of things.
