Some folks are getting worked up about Samantha being mad that Jlo portrayed her likeness like she needed to be grateful to be graced by a royal. Nobody knows what happened behind the scenes that made her speak and feel that way. Y'all should know by now that you cannot believe everything that you hear and read about.
Some immature people act like we should worship the ground that celebrities walk on and try to recruit other idolator fools. If you criticize or negatively speak on someone's favorite celebrity, the claws come out. Seriously? They're three in the brain and thirty in the body. No wonder good and smart individuals have to pay for the actions and inactions of the sheep.
Hustlers was very entertaining and realistic with a good dose of pop culture. It explored the sociological and economic undercurrents happening during that period, even if you weren't a stripper. That relatability is what makes for good filming.
Just enjoy the movie and background story. Who knows, maybe the film will teach you something important about life.

I quite enjoyed this movie, however, I felt the ending lacked something. It felt very incomplete.
I never took Destiny as a reliable source. She was FAR too smart, like why is she even talking to the reporter in the first place? I think it becomes apparent when she is so focused on what Ramona had to say about her, I even though there was a love story behind it because of how she idolised her - there was also no real sinister parts of Ramonas personality, I kept waiting for something horrible to happen but she only slapped her and got too greedy. I felt like they really could've done more with her character-wise, but Constance and JLO were great in this considering the writing.

Tbh I don't know about ramona, but there's a difference between a stripper and dancer, the stripper as the name suggests strips for money, sometimes touching is allowed) and a dancer just dances no taking off clothes (they can dress in short clothing but there's no nudity) and there's no touching. It's mostly change to keep a business and not do illegal stuff with taxes and leases

Lol both the real women have horrible fake lips. The Asian-looking chick is not ugly but the other one. beats me why rich guys would get swindled by that. She looks ridiculous with those inflated lips. You'd think the actresses would be the fake-looking ones but J Lo and the other Asian actress look more natural than the real people they're portraying in the movie.
reply

Of course shes not gonna reach out to you. Its not a documentary. So she doesnt need to sit down, have coffee with you while you tell her every detail of it. She had to know the main points but its still a Hollywood movie. It could be about your situation all you want, but theyre still gonna put their tweaks in it.

Hearing these fact, I can see why the director took so many artistic liberties in the film. Without that, the movie would be lacking. And yo. Why is J Lo even in it? She's so much hotter than the real woman is. That woman should feel honored to be portrayed by a star like J Lo. Instead of complaining.
reply

I cant believe she was offended by J-Los performance. that woman can only dream about being as beautiful and talented as Jennifer. This criminal compares JLo performance to defamation? JLo killed it in this movie, and made that criminal look good!
reply

I just saw it I enjoyed it the directors style kind of reminded me of a Safdie brothers style but not quite, JLo's acting was the best I've seen so far along with how she looked I'm a grown man and I almost wanted to whip my dick out. great movie
reply

It literally says based on true events. No one ever said that is was meant to be a documentary, and plus even if it was a documentary it would definitely not be as entertaining. It had to be made so it would captivate people in theaters lmao
reply

Funny she calls it defamation of character but J Lo was god damn HOT doin her thing in the movie. The real like chick looks like someone who ends up on Botched asking for her 20th boob job and more lip injections.
reply

Not trying to be mean, but it's beyond me how could someone looking like that be seducing powerful businessmen. Her asian sidekick looks better, but not really HOT. I guess men really do go for the body, not the face.
reply

What makes me sad about the people who have seen this movie always drags Constance down for not being pretty enough, I thought she was talented and she made me related to Destiny a lot. I feel bad for her.
reply

Since when do Hollywood movies film the truth. They either over kill or down play the real characters story. That's why I love foreigne films. They're genuine not Hollywood-ish.
reply

OMG. The real Ramona looks awful and she should be happy that someone as beautiful as JLo played her. because she's a ugly woman. She looks like Big Ang. very very unattractive.
reply

Barbash is trying to make more money. She really doesn't care. I don't think she has a leg to stand on it says right in the beginning of the movie it is based on a true story.
reply

I got the impression they both were in charge lmao everyone just wants to say Romona but nah if ya know ya know they were together in they never left each other
reply

I can't listen to Usher, that song closer. all I hear is him singing Toaster now I have passed it on to you. try to unhear it. the vampire that made me.
reply

Besides Jennifer Lopez (which I loved the most btw,
I loved Destiny and Ramona's friendship. Unfortunately, it's not that true irl. :(

reply

Ain't it funny (see what I did there ) that in real life cardi b did the same thing in real life. Also this is not me bashing cardi b
reply

I thought it was funny people thought j. lo deserved an Oscar for this movie. No she's deserved a nomination for a better movie
reply

Samantha lowkey & no hate a not very attractive woman. The the Asian one & the other white girl from 20/20 looked attractive
reply

I believe they danced to Ushers song may be not him for real. because usher said his songs were played in strip clubs
reply

Creative license is what Hollywood uses to sell a good story or a bad one. It's all about the money at the end.
reply

Lol when you're a fraud and steal from people you don't get to say you're offended about how you're portrayed
reply

You know be y gonna be. we about usher. Idc if she is with Jay usher like usher and she is very jealous.
reply

J. Lo is beautiful. That freaky look samantha has thanks to a plastic surgeon - what man would fall for her? Yuk.
reply

people this movie is inspired by true story not autobigraphy of the girls so not every scene gonna be true
reply

She should be flattered Lopez played her. cuz the real beast looks like a tweaker with bad plastic surgery
reply

I really enjoyed this film, but I really i dont see how they can push this 'empowerment' narrative.
