I truly don't understand why ppl in these comments are saying it's not Blackface, bc she's appreciating the culture. Like what? Dressing up as a whole other race for some pictures isn't appreciation. It's a mockery. Last time a checked, being a person of color isn't a trend or a fashion trend. At the end of the day it's blackface. Just because they're not trying to make jokes about people of color, that doesn't mean it's not offensive. My skin isn't a costume. My culture isn't a costume. You can take off the paint and makeup at the end of the day. I can't. I have to live with the good and the bad about being a person of color.

seriously I have no idea how you get racism out of some of the photo shoots. If you ask me it's a compliment to try to portray the ethnicity of someone else. I think you need to go back and rethink your saying of the multi cultural shoot being racist. The girls didn't just dress up in some random cultural attire. I would be willing to bet it was thoroughly researched and done with as much class and taste as possible.
The models were asked to embrace different cultures, and thats what they did.

the tarantula (3) shoot snakes (1) just creepy however the vampire shoot(14) the horrifying death shoot (8) and the seven deadly sins shoot(4) also terrifying but the guppies shoot they're actually mermaids not fish exotic bird shoot (12) number one not the snake one bird shoot one of my personal faves along with went to the circus (7)

I want to know how this show gets a pass for episodes where white or non-black models dress up/make up in blackface? Does Tyra get a pass because she is part black? All too familiar. There have been celebs, people in government, etc. that have lose their jobs et al, due to blackface or any comment that the demon woke deem insulting.

Soo people still want to push the blackface narrative? No nuances stating that Tyra has apologized and several contestants have said it was done in a good way, including Noelle who is half black and Tiffany. We are not allowed to celebrate ethnicities? Because it was ethnicities, not races

I'm disappointed the celebrity couples one from cycle 7 wasn't on here, because so many good photos there, especially Brooke nailing both Britney and Kevin Federline, Caridee doing a great Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Jaeda's amazing Bobby Brown

Tyra and Nigel both realized they sent Toccara home too early in an episode in cycle 16. I still think Toccara couldve gone farther in the show though she won in the end especially being the main host for thick house. The the plus sized Antm

Furonda's fish/mermaid photo shoot actually came our beautifully. I can just imagine the anguish these girls were put through. being suspended upside down while wearing a harness so tight, that it's literally squeezing the life out of you!

For cycle 9 I wouldve kept Heather knowing how amazing she would do for the Great Wall shoot. Even when she was eliminated she didnt take the worse picture
