These Disney hero songs went the distance. Our countdown includes Moana, Aladdin, The Lion King, and more! What's YOUR favorite Disney hero song? Thanx for the Out There love! Tom Hulce SLAYED that. Also, I Just Cant Wait To Be King is such an ultimate Disney song bc at its core it perfectly encapsulates that feeling every kid has of I cant wait to be a grown-up and finally be able to do what I want when I want and nobody can tell me what to do or not to do anymore! Of course thats a very reductive view of adulthood, but thats what it seems like when youre a child and are almost completely beholden to the adults in your life.\r\n

Favorite Disney relatable hero songs.
These songs are my favorite Disney hero songs and definitely relate to each song in a different way. Each song gives me personal empowerment of how I relate to the lyrics.
Evermore- Beauty and the beast
Out there- The Hunchback of Norta Dame
Go the Distance- Hercules
Im still here Jim Theme- Treasure Planet
We are One Lion King 2
Never to late Live Action Lion King

11: 44Elton John masterpiece It is worth noting that Elton John was the composer for The Lion King while Tim Rice was the lyricist. As great as Elton John is, I dont think its fair to Tim Rice to only give EJ the credit. Its more understandable when hes the performer, but when its a musical that tells its story through song, the lyricist deserves plenty of credit, too.

I probably would put Out There as number 1 while Go the Distance sits at 2. Doesn't make much of a difference. But really though, Tom Hulce's voice just gets it right. For Roger Bart, gotta appreciate his range.
Something about the Frozen songs that screams concert rather than musical. Not really a negative, it's just not my preference.

Okay, this is officially my FAV video. Hercules FINALLY made #1 on the list. My FAV animated Disney film is FINALLY getting the love it deserves. That movie is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. And, while I do like Go The Distance, I think the best song in the ENTIRE movie is DEFINITELY Zero To Hero. It's just SO upbeat and danceable, and it tells a story.

The top Disney Hero Songs of All Time that I recognize and enjoy listening to are Strangers Like Me from Tarzan, You're Welcome from Moana, Lost in the Woods from Frozen 2, One Jump Ahead from Aladdin, I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan, I Just Can't Wait to Be King from The Lion King, Out There from The Hunchback of Notre Dame,

The fact that no one is talking about the fact the Jonathan Groff also had to do the voices for all of the reindeer in Lost in the Woods is surprising. Learning who knows how many versions of that song and then recording it multiple times each with a different voice and all with the perfect timing, ICONIC!

I was obsessed with Newsies. My best friend and I sang the songs and did the words they spoke constantly. Newsies with Christian Bale is spectacular. But I love all of these songs they are amazing too. And my cousin and I were obsessed with the Lion King. We rehearsed the words and song lyrics constantly.

Friend like me should be on this is instead of one jump ahead. Even though the Genie isn't the real main character the song is still bigger, fun and it shows what kind of friend the Genie is and can be. It also shows what he can do with his powers. I think it belongs on this list

Daresay every Disney fan knows this, but The Bare Necessities and Thomas O'Malley are both performed by Phil Harris, who voiced both characters. Harris was Jack Benny's band leader during the Jack Benny show, and, of course, he was also Little John in Disney's Robin Hood.

As well as Thomas O'Malley Cat from the Aristocats, The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book, Why Should I Worry from Oliver & Company, One Song from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Go The Distance from Hercules

Honorable mention: Proud of Your Boy from Aladdin. While it didn't make the final movie, it was in the original draft and made the Broadway show. It's one of the best Disney songs and its seriously under-rated.

Christian Bale also voice Howl in Howls Moving Castle. On a note for Mulan John Solo has Mulans origin in one of his videos. If you look closely during Out There youll spot both Bell and a Dead Pumba.

My favorite Hero songs are Go the Distance, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Evermore, Strangers Like me, Out There, Your Welcome, I'll Make a Man Out of You not in that order.

If Im being honest, I was actually expecting Kristoff to sing a song as he was going back to Anna in Frozen, maybe I am seeking my destiny because she is his destiny!
reply

I normally dont complain but the music they played while the narrator was talking was annoying as all get out. Thought someone had left another tv on or something.
reply

Okay so Deadpool let us know that Do you wanna Build a Snowman, is Papa Can You Hear Me. Im telling you Jacks Lament, was remade in Cinderella as The Sweetest Sounds.
reply

No beauty and the beast! A whole new world! Circle of life? Is it a joke of a video? Lol tho i really do love Go the distance and it certainly deserves the spot.
reply

I wouldnt call Maui a hero. Considering he caused every bad thing in the middle. Barely even tried to fix it, sure in the end he came through. But. a hero?
reply

When Kristoff didnt get his song in the first Frozen, they made up for it in Frozen 2, where Jonathan Groff sings all of the stacked reindeer harmonies

Really glad Out There is on this list, especially since it's so high up. A little disappointing that anything from Hercules is higher, though. ..
reply

Wonder boy definitely deserved #1, you guys really did a good job on this list (although I would have loved to see evermore in the top 10)
reply

Glad to see the newsies my favorite song from that is the world will know though. Not sure I have a song I like more it just hits it all
reply

Okay but I would have loved to have seen Jim's theme (I'm still here) as at LEAST an honorable mention. That song hits me so hard
reply

Okay lets be honest, is Pegasus almost like Rainbow Dash? Because theyre both loyal to their friends and are easily jealous.
