The greatest thing about Avril Lavigne is her lasting popularity. I vividly remember the media were ready to write her success off as a trend of the early 00s transition away from the bubblegum pop of the 1990s when boy bands & the blonde pop princess had reigned supreme but Avril makes good music which is why she is also having a resurgence amongst the teenagers of today. Clearly her success was not because of any trends.

Everytime I know shes dropping a new album I watch for it in the store because its a cd I just have. I used to walk around with my red CD player and my Avril cds. I actually had to replace the first two because I listened to them to the point of skipping
