My 10 year old was obsessed with Heroes when she she was a toddler calling it the man with dancing baby song. Evrn though I wanted Il Volo to win, I knew Sweden would win just by the vibes it gave out!
My 5 year has been obsessed with Arcade since watching Tic Toc last summer calling it the all I know song. Even though I was gutted Italy came second as an Italian, I'm still honoured we lost to the Netherlands which is a country that I hold dear to my heart.
Personally I'm to happy that Loreen won this year. Sweden holds a special place in my heart like the Netherlands. But my best friend is Swedish.

I wish it happened more often for unique acts to win. Sure, these songs are good and I certainly enjoy many of them, but you could find similar songs and similar looking people anywhere - Netta and Conchita as notable exceptions of course. These were mainly objectively good looking people that didn't put on much of a show and sung English songs. It's boring, I can just turn on the radio or listen to the charts for that.

2 things u forget to mention: First Mans lives now in London and in 2018 he was a co host of the British national song contest. Second u forget how long it was been since the Netherlands won the contest after Duncan Laurence won in 2019. For the record since 1975. And Duncan Laurence is now the writer of this year's Dutch song '' Burning Daylight '' who is performed by Mia and Dion

I have a soft spot for Salvador Sobral - gorgeous song. Looking at that retrospective, the winner songs are all very good. Even though I'm not a fan of Netta's style of music, she has personality and I can see why she was chosen. 12 points Salvador, 10 points Duncan 9 Jamala 8 Conchita 7 Loreen 6 Mans 5 Emelie 4 - Lena 3 - Netta

rainmaker was iconic. I know Eurovision is supposed to give you the feeling of unity but seeing the singers join Emmelie de Forest while waving their countries flags sent shivers down my spine. It was the one moment when I was like: so this is what unity, peace and love feels like. Nothing could ever top that moment for me
reply

Why didn't they use the grand final performances of Denmark and Netherlands? I've seen a lot of people confusing the national selection performance of Denmark with the grand final one, but using Netherlands' national final performance instead of the one where he won?
reply

Actually a pretty good decade compared the ones before, though the contest is harshly critizsed. but the winners are overall much better than in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. very diverse interesting countries from all over.
reply

I checked all the artists simultaneously on spotify, its sad that their Eurovision song stand out so much by the numbers. I can only think of abba who had major international success after the Eurovision songcontest.
reply

It was a fight between Germany and Azerbaijan
Amazing, not even a minute has passed and I already remembered why I hate when you guys try to talk about Eurovision: )
(maNga was from Turkey. You're welcome)

reply

5: 31 Denmarks 2016 entry was 'Soldiers of Love' by Lighthouse X and Denmarks 2017 entry was 'Where I Am' by Anja Nissen, don't know how you got 'Never Alone' as thats not a Eurovision song haha
reply

Denmark's 2016 entry was not Never Alone - maybe it was in a preselection? Also 2010 was really Turkey vs. Germany to win, not Azerbaijan vs. Germany. I can help you fact check these: )
reply

Intr notice. The winners are not at all divas, but rather super down to earth, and have some case they advocate for. That's so nice! Austrias win is a very good example of that
reply

Salvador almost didn't get to represent Portugal in 2017 due to a heart condition. That same year following his victory he underwent a successful heart transplant.
reply

Why does this video even exist? It is factually inaccurate and the host clearly has no idea what is she talking about. Lorean, yamala. This is really disrespectful tbh
reply

Jamala's story breaks my heart. They really can't catch a break can they?
Loreen deserved every single point in 2012. Not so much in 2023. It was such a downgrade.

reply

First of all, and before I continue watching the rest. 2010 knew a competition between Germany (Lena) and Turkey (ManGa) not Azerbaijan. please be more accurate
reply

Yes, Ms Mojo, I agree with your picks. And I've really enjoyed the new music and back catalog from Jamala, Salvador and Conchita. Definitely check those out.
reply

Emmelie had song writing credits on denmarks 2017 entry where I am which was sung by Anja Nissen. In 2016, it was lighthouse X with Soldiers of Love.
reply

Luckily Lena is one of the rare winners who did not stuck at Eurovision. She made a good career outside Eurovision. Meanwhile married and a son.
reply

Fuego by Eleni Foureira was also amazing and a big hit in many countries. Even tho it came 2nd place. And that live performance at the final
reply

Mans has appeared in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023 after his victory in 2015. He probably is gonna show up next year too maybe as a host.
reply

Sorry but there is a mistake at the beginning. The competition was between Germany and Turkiye not Azerbaijan. Its better to fix it at 0: 46
reply

In 2010 it was not a tight race between Germany and Azerbaijan Azerbaijan ended up only in 5th place, what are you talking about
reply

and none of them even got close to the global success of Maneskin. there has not been such a successful band since Abba.
reply

Mojo once again showing they don't do their research before making videos. The pronunciation of the artists names is atrocious!
reply

2014, 2016, 2018 is still a disgrace to have won. 3 horrible songs with horrible singers. But hey freak show above quality.
reply

this video should have waited 2 more days to include Loreen's historic second win this year. This legend won AGAIN!
reply

Conchita, Netta and Jamala brought to the concert really uniq and newest energy, the best song and entries in 2010's
reply

Actually, Never Alone wasn't the danish entry in 2016, but a DMGP Entry that ended up runner up that year.
reply

Except the fact it was a race between Germany and TURKEY about the victory of 2010s ESC, great video.
