Hyper Light Drifter left me in a really lousy place because it fit what I look for in a game so well that I ended up really disillusioned that I could find another game giving me that feeling. I spent like a month unable to commit to the games I played because none of them felt like the right game after that.
So that being said, I guess I really liked it if the way I describe it is akin to an ex.
At least I can replay Hyper Light Drifter?

Hyper Light Drifter was one of my favorite games of the year for sure. Gorgeous art style, great soundtrack, and good gameplay mechanics. Really loved it.
The Witness is also on that list.
It's a short list, because I didn't play a ton of games, but damn they were all good.
Oxenfree also was great. It was such a great year for game soundtracks.

god it's so nice to hear some positivity about Fire Emblem: Fates. I personally like the game, despite it's flaws. I do just spend time around the reddit fandom, the majority of which hates the game so this is SO nice to hear. It's a great game, who cares if it doens't -live up- to the previous games. I had a ton of fun.

Griffin McElroy is my favorite video game dad. Also big ups to Stardew. I started playing it again yesterday (started a new game after my first 77hr game) and there are quite a few new adds that I haven't seen yet so I'm pretty excited. Again.

Great picks, all very solid games. I wasn't that into Stardew Valley, I just never can do those kind of games, but I definitively understand why someone would like it. Hyper Light, Witness, and DS3 are all in my top 5.

Watching the clips of Hyper Light Drifter, I thought I remembered seeing it in a Gameplay Overview with Griffin & Justin (& Dracula) a year or so ago. Turns out I was thinking of Titan Souls? Anyway, both look great.

I put 77 hours into stardew, which is incredible because I usually can only sink about 11 hours into games a I REALLY enjoy. Amazing!
