Pat Will Not Tweet at Nintendo This Week Because He is Resting at Home - PLEASE RETWEET, Episode 12

Patrick has been doing such a great job tweeting at Nintendo that Polygon gave him the week off! Time for some RnR! This series is so underrated still, the general commentary on fan culture and fan obsession with trying to -reach- our idols when theyre so elusive and intangible, and the way the desire to be seen by the people we idolise can take over our lives so easily. the genuine honest goodwill behind it, but tainted by frustration and the envy of people whove somehow been seen, morphing into the conviction that _we_ deserve it more. the way an obsession can slip into our sense of self-identity and consume it. the way its no longer just about Toad, but about what retweeting the Toad represents. I just have a lot of feelings.\r\n

Watching Please Retweet feels like watching the Black Swam. But instead of Natalie Portman, we watch Patrick Gill's -slow- decent into madness as he tries to reach his goal. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up trespassing Nintendo's headquarters just to get his Toad retweeted
I rate this series a Good Ass Toad out of ten

consider asking sega to retweet the toad? it may stir up enough of their past competitive nature and cause nintendo to respond. or perhaps have sega retweet a chao in an adult diaper or similar really good concept for a really good picture

Pat you look terrible now. You look like the cocaine abuse is really taking its toll. You should use that! Threaten to OD on cocaine if Nintendo of America does not retweet the toad!

That moment when his cat walks out of frame and he pauses to set up a new shot with cat in frame.
Also, that is a superior angry-faced cat. 12 of 10 would endlessly pet.

When his cat walks away when he lays down beside it actually made me laugh aloud.
I also love the little Patrick peeking over big Patrick's shoulder at the end.

every year i come back to rewatch this series in the hope that maybe one day nintendo will retweet that really good picture of toad. it haunts my dreams

He should next time say, Man I sure love Toad! And put 3 pics of the normal toad and one pic of the fake one in like the picture grid

I love that you carefully placed the coaster. and then immediately put the can on the table. Everything about this series is amazing.

I noticed you're not tagging who is in the photo. Perhaps The Very Good Toad needs his own twitter account that you can tag him in.

I love that the live PUBG stream mentioned Pat just working from home, really keeping this cannon, very dedicated Polygon.

I just watched this now 99% because of the cat in the thumbnail. But yay, another Polygon series I haven't seen yet!

This got recommended to me I thought it was about the quarantine but he's actually just -resting at home-
