I get you Ashley, people forget I'm there not talking too.
Recently, after being silent or helpful (and rarely sarcastic) in my Geometry class for the whole year, I told this guy who wouldn't stop complaining about someone else talking (this girl in my grade who he never stops bugging and who was sitting on the other side of the room that day, so I told him to be quiet, I didn't even tell him to shut up, just be quiet. He yelled at me to stay out of his business and stop talking for 5 minutes. (Earlier he had been saying weird/gross things about that same girl (she's 14 he's around 16) and I had told him what he was implying was gross)
I cried the rest of the period.
No one noticed.
As usual.

I remember playing this game with 2 friends in our LGS. One of our player's madness was they have to stand a few feet away from the table. My other friend had one saying he had to copy the player to his right (the player standing. My madness was that I could only refer to game components and -things-. A kids mom said watching 2 grown men stand 5bft away from a game they're playing while I'm yelling like -WE NEED TO USE SOME THINGS AND THOSE OTHER THINGS so we can climb this mountain- was the funniest thing she's seen in her life. She bought the game and when we saw her a few weeks later she said it replaced monopoly in her house

i've been watching a lot of newer overboard episodes lately and going -man why'd i skip out on these for so long, they're a lot of fun! - and then i came back to this and realized why. it seems like kind of a tedious unfun game to begin with, it's frustrating to watch as people completely misinterpret their madnesses and make everything way harder on themselves, and overall it just doesn't seem like anyone's. really enjoying it that much. especially not ashley in her fugue state for the entire episode. i'm glad the series got better later but yeesh, reeeally rocky start

Watching this in 2020 makes me so anxious everytime someone puts their cards on/near/in their mouths, and the amount of face/nose/mouth touching then touching the cards. But if I had seen this before 2020 i wouldnt have thought about it at all. I dont know if we will ever be back to the old normal x. x

i -don't- feel bad for ashley being -pushed out of the fun- or -left out- cos she could have spoken and joked around in between rounds. NOBODY asked her to do all that, she pushed herself out and we're supposed to feel bad that nobody noticed lmfao could never be me. Can't talk - can't communicate.
reply

Sorry but I don't feel sorry for Ashley getting a madness card that won't let her speak. She could have spoken outside of the 30 sec rounds and she could have gestured like Jeff did when he couldn't speak. They wouldn't have put in a madness card that stopped you from contributing.
reply

This could have been so fun but Ashley being pissed threw the entire mood wayy off: / Like she can talk while the round isnt happening, the entire time she was silent was. pointless? Nobody besides her was affected by the madness when the round wasnt happening
reply

Simone asking -who's most likely to forget they can do this in the first place? - And Pat raising his hand before she'd finished was an absolute mood. But also good on her for quickly picking the most optimal person to give that too lol
reply

Out of all these people and games. ive seen a lot of episodes now. I would not ever want to play a game with Ashley. I'm surprised she was even asked to play on this.
reply

Gosh, all the people looking down on Ashley for this. I know for a fact that people wouldn't be dicks like this if someone named Brian was having this issue.
reply

-I should've been less passive-aggressive and more pure aggressive- - Simone, not yet knowing the lengths of her pure aggression in later Overboard installments
reply

I felt the stress haha. I can imagine this being another monopoly with family.
The game might make for an okay passive aggressive gift lol

reply

-We failed tools-
Pat, mumbling to himself: -I know the pieces fit. -
Somehow it took me like 5 seconds to get it and then I died

reply

Jeff. The only words you couldn't say were -a- and -the-. -I have 10 crates- has no articles in it. You didn't have to say -Me 10 crate-
reply

snapping your fingers at someone to get their attention and then aggressively making finger-guns at them is. a power move? I think?
reply

-When I see a tool I usually start screaming more more more cut that oUT OF THE VIDEO- in which Simone kamikazes into my heart
reply

The Asian girl is such a tight ass in every game I-ve seen her, they shouldn-t have invited her to any game she ruins the vibe
reply

Ashley could-ve at least realized that she was allowed to talk in between rounds when no one else was acting weird.
reply

Got this game for Christmas, and just finished playing it for the first time, and we actually won! What a fun game!
reply

Oh, weird that I'm watching the first episode now, after seeing so many others! The birth of a legendary series!
reply

I thought they were only affected by the madness after the timer started, Ashley was silent the whole time!
reply

I love how they get a card taht tells them to not use a few key words then they just go all out mute lol
reply

-Must rub the face of someone next to them- 2020 has invalidated that card. You must select a new madness.
