10 Weird things girls must go through to work as a Disney princess impersonator. Working as a Disney Princess seems to be a dream job. You live in a beautiful place, you wear a beautiful dress, you are paid to meet people, and everyone loves you. But this job is actually much more difficult than you would have thought. First, you need to get the part. And then, you need to keep it. This is why you have to know about 10 strange requirements to work as a Disney Princess. The look is one of the most important things that casting directors will be looking for. Either you want to be Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Mulan or Ariel, you have to look exactly like the character and the other girls playing this role. You also have to be not too short and not too tall and under a size 10. We think that every body is beautiful, but Disney has high beauty standards

The you must look like the princess rule is kind of bias in favor of the white girls, if only because there are so many white princesses to choose from, and not enough nonwhite princesses. A Black girl who wants to work as a Disney Princess HAS to look like Tiana, even if she doesnt like her, or she doesnt stand a chance.
On the other hand, at some parks Ive seen they just hire any old Black girl to be Tiana regardless of how she looks, as if all Black girls look the same. Ive seen people complain about this.

I wanna work there, I mean
-I'm thin (Size 0, so I can pretty match the princess who show waists)
-I've done musicals and acting, so I'm pretty good with improv and acting in general
-I look pretty close to any princess of a tan shade
-I'm good with kids
But it makes me so scared to audition because I feel like I'd be rejected for being too tall (I'm 5'5 at 14) and I often get breakouts. But I have 4 years until I can so let's cross our fingers.

Checking off the requirements:
(Age) Most girls should be between 18 and 23 years old: Im 19.
(Height) Most Princesses are between 5'4 and 5'7: At 5'4, Im just on the lower end of the height requirement.
Must look like the character: Im convinced that I look a lot like Rapunzel
(Weight) The largest size they carry is a size 10: Im 139 lbs. Welp, there goes my chance
