Uh, what? Tefiti is not a demi god. Tefiti is an island goddess who gives life. Spiritual connection can be as little or as big so nothing is that weird. Grandma Tala is a woman who was so deep rooted in her connections that its pretty normal. Moana is a strong minded, confident, and determined woman so yes, she would be able to do these things that she did. And the main fact that Moana is a Polynesian based movie, Polynesian culture is very deep rooted in spiritual culture so not many of these theories can be made because of power and supernatural things. Grandma tala would have been dead if she was Mauis mother. Most of these theories are from non Polynesian people, and some are cool and sounds pretty cool but I feel like people should learn about spiritual culture while making these theories: P

In real Polynesian history Moana is the daughter of not the chief but of Maui Moanas mom messed around and that is why the chief was so strict with Moana he hated her in the beginning of the movie (clue 1)did you notice that the mom was ok for Moana to leave because she knows her daughter would be in good hands (clue 2) she hurt Maui with the ore (clue 3) she moved a marble statue without trying and (clue 4) she didnt die both underwater and in in the under world (which mortals cannot Enter with out dying

Moana is physically fit because she's not lazy and sitting in front of a phone all day.
She had leverage to push over a statue.
Her strength is intelligence.

If Maui was the grandmas son, and moanas dad was also gramma talas son, doesnt that mean Maui is Moanas uncle? And that Maui and the chief of the village are brothers? Or maybe theyre stepbrothers, and Gramma Talas first husband, died somehow after having the chief, and then when she got remarried her husband died again and she didnt want the chief to grow up with Maui because she knew she was a demigod so she threw him in the sea and took care of him there by water? Idrk

Wouldn't a simpler explanation to the demigod like abilities be linked to the heart. Her grandmother carried it for years, Moana is carrying throughout most of the movie, even the chicken ate it and survived the boat explosion at the end
