The people who say Abby is/was mean have never been in competitive sports. I have played competitively all my life and there is no coach that just babies you or speaks softly to motivate you. None. Christi and Kelly were just jerks on the show, and kept on for drama no doubt. In real life, a studio owner/coach more than not wouldn't have put up with that garbage.

I will never understand why the moms where constantly fighting with Miss Abby about how she was with the girls. They knew she was very forward and direct and doesn't hold back. It always made me wonder why they hired her to train their kids and then get mad when she corrects them.

i loved dance moms and tho most people who say Abby was mean she is just a though dance teacher and having worked on a few plays i understand that for the performances to be good you have to get a bit mean i always knew she was good tho
