Disney Princess Rapunzel's Parents Aren't Who You Think They Are Everyone knows the story of Princess Rapunzel, who was locked up in a tower and escaped using her notoriously long hair. We saw her tale play out in the movie Tangled, but now its time for a closer look at her parents. It turns out King Frederic knew more about the magical Sundrop Flower than we first thought, while Queen Arianna was quite the adventurer before she got married and had a daughter. Well talk about the way her parents' stories have been shaped over the years from the Book of Kings to the Brothers Grimm version. Mother Gothel may not be her biological parent, but she did raise her from a young age until her 18th birthday so well share some insight on her story and how this all could have been avoided if any of the adults here had behaved a little bit differently! A bit of back story I'd like to see is that when Rapunzel's mom was sick, Idunna of Arendelle received instructions as to the Sun Drop Flower's location from her own unborn daughter.
