If you thought you cried a lot during Encanto just know some alternate scenes nearly gave us a MUCH darker and more emotional film! Were taking a look at all the possibilities the Encanto team considered while bringing this movie to the big screen get ready to grab the tissues. Losing Pedro is a heartbreaking moment in the movie and reveals a lot about Abuela Almas past but in one version, there was a chance Pedro would actually pass away AT THE SAME TIME as Abuela was giving birth to the triplets. Heartbreak much? An alternate scene also saw Abuela and Mirabel having a different reconciliation conversation, one that had Abuela explaining why she was scared of the miracle for so long. Even though we see Mirabel and Abuela going head to head, an alternate storyline saw Mirabel and her mother Julieta having an epic fight, resulting in the collapse of Casita! Seeing the Madrigal household in shambles was a tough sight to see but alternate storyboards saw an even darker and creepier image taking the place of the beloved family home. Casitas fate was up in the air for a while too. Some versions saw Casita burning down to the ground and seeing the house struggle with its memory, experiencing a kind of brain fog and losing details within the house. As for the characters there were several characters that almost joined the cast who would have had a big effect on certain plot points, including Isabellas suitor and a very different, far more intense papa Agustn. Encanto had a whole lot of possibilities during the making, but ultimately the team put together a very special film but all these alternate storylines certainly have us thinking about all the possibilities there could have been!

I loved this video! I love Encanto! I relate to Mirabel so much it hurts. I love the bond she shares with her mother. Although the fight between them would have been interesting, I prefer Julieta meeting Mirabel in the rubble and loving her in her greatest moment of pain and fear more. It had an emotional impact on me because i Never had that kind of love.

Fun fact Evil Cousin: Camilo was originally planned to be the antagonist in Mirabels story and more mean spirited compared to the ultimate result that we saw

To be honest, I would have liked to see Mirabel and Isabella tear each other apart and pull each other's hair. It would have been kind of, entertaining. for me.

I'm glad they didn't stick with the triplets birth after Pedro's death, that would've been much more sad and dark
