Filming Marvel movies is a pretty rigorous job. It seems all of these incidents were avoidable in the Thor movies. Like Chris Hemsworth whipping himself. Or Loki getting elbowed in the nose. With a little more patience they may have been able to get through these scenes uninjured.
In Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris was dealing with some serious back pain that sent him to the hospital. This isn t the first time the actor has dealt with that kind of pain either! But you know who walked away unscathed? Natalie Portman. Turns out, her trainer taught her a little something about preventing injuries. In Thor: The Dark World, Jamie Alexander did a tough tumble down a flight of stairs and that slip in the rain left her with slipped disks and it was just awful.
Chris stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton has suffered his fair share of injuries on set, too. He did something on the set of Thor: Ragnarok we didn t even know was possible. Christian Bale wasn t really injured but he sure was suffering through having to wear long fingernails. Natalie Portman may not have injured herself but she did injure a co-star.
Not accidentally, mind you. Chris son spent a day on set during the filming of Avengers and, inspired by dad, he wanted to be a superhero. The situation left him with a broken leg.
