there-s actually a lot superheroes inspired by mythology this is list is basically just actual characters from mythology that have been depicted in comics. not the same thing. and a lot of the characters mentioned aren-t even heroes, they-re just characters in the stories of the actual heroes. severely disappointed with this list.

Maybe it's because I'm not Caucasian, but I'm tired of superheros and supervillains drawn from European mythology. Many other cultures have legends and myths too. Just once I'd like to see comics tap into some of African, Asian, or Native American folklore.

I tried to think of superheroes from myths other than Norse and Greek. It's not easy. Plenty of villains - but very few superheroes. The only ones I could think of were Banshee, Gilgamesh and The Black Knight.
So much unexplored territory.

Lmao he gives Greek Mythological Background to all the ComicBook Gods except Diana as she doesn-t have one so that was a waste. I mean could done one on her mother Queen Hippolyta who is from Greek Mythology.

What of Lier the Irish/Celtic version of Thor. Or Ares who appears in both DC and Marvel in effective ways

Taylor McWatters---You made me laugh a lot in this video. Great job with the video. It was very informative. I've actually read a lot of mythology before.

Technically we did see Sleipnir. Odin was riding it in the first Thor film when he showed up to break up Thor's brawl with the Frost Giants.
