Sentient Weapons just means super powered people. MCU SWORD looks like its going to be the anti-supers branch of the military or of SHIELD. My guess is they're using Vision as model from which they derive Sentinels and the Sentinel Program. Just in time for a new world full of mutants to come into the picture.
