Well really there will be no better then Bruce Wayne. This list kinda reflects that, in a weird way. He IS the bar. The benchmark which all others are compared to. That sets him head-and-shoulders above them all, it doesn't matter if they are stronger, more tech, or anything. everyone still compares them to Bruce because he IS -the batman-, the one, the ONLY. So He has thus achieved -immortality-, he has become the very thing he created batman to be. -A SYMBOL-. Now just have Dr. Fate or someone bestow it on him and make it official. (good story line. Batman, bruce. is tied to gotham. As long as the city exists. so will he. his -mission- now never-ending)

Not all super heroes have tragic backstories, most do, but not all of them. Its like a law or something.
Kinda like how nearly all music from Danny Elfman has to sound dark but there's always a chorus chanting -la la la la la- for some kind of soothing effect, that gets used in most Tim Burton films. It has to be there or else its an injustice.
