I'm going to say it aliens just seem out of place in the X-Men franshise at the moment as done by Fox. I love how the Phoenix Force is a primal energy that manifests itself as a split personality in Jean. Also gotta love the parallels between this and The Last Stand. Just goes to show that any of the pre DOFP events will still happen but at slightly different time and way.

I think the comune magneto created is nod to genosha. In the comics genosha was island of the coast of Africa. It was first used as concentration camp for mutants used by Cameron hodge. Later Magneto gained of the island sovereignty by the UN however it was later razed by sentinels.

There's absolutely ZERO hints at Jean being the Phoenix from the comics rather than just an insanely powerful psychic with a dark psyche. Instead, the trailer looks like a better version of Last Stand than anything close to the comic saga.

According to the reset Days of Future Past timeline, Jean gray was alive in 2023 when Logan woke up at the mansion, so unless they want to mess up their already reset continuity, she can-t die. Mystique in the other hand, we didn-t see her

uhhhhh isnt this basically the same as Last Stand. I thought Pheonix force was given to Jean saving the X-Men on a flight back to earth not something thats been locked in her mind. Yet you guys say it's closer to the comics?

I just wish they could do a Phoenix movie and a Dark Phoenix movie. Phoenix didn't start out evil! It was good then it got corrupted by the emotions of a human and turned evil. I wish they had the time to do it like that.

So how does this tie with how in X-men Apocalypse Jean -unleashes- the Phoenix force, is this the -DARK- entity Phoenix or something? Because in this film arnt they going to space and the Phoenix force enters her? hu?

Don-t forget at this point the tv series is a fox property the gifted, this movie being made after the premier of the show I-m gonna be expecting Easter eggs between the movie and show like agents of shield and mcu

Well I'm just sick of tired is all connected in the MCU so I don't know watched either it just terrible to watch it it's not connected so I prefer watching anime Arc of a shounen like one piece instead of X-Men.
