we’re counting down the instances of luminaries and visionaries whose careers or lives ended too soon. Our countdown of tragic stories involving the careers of geniuses that were cut short includes Jim Henson, Vincent Van Gogh, Freddie Mercury, and more! Which genius do you miss the most Tell us in the comments below. I think Michael Schumacher should not be ob this list. While his story is tragic but it didn't really shorten his Career since he already retired from it. Twice. Ayerton Senna on the other hand died much to soon. He should take Michael Schumachers place on this list instead.

Michael Schumacher is the obvious choice, but I have a better one.
Stefan Bellof.
Stefan Bellof was basically michael schumacher before michael schumacher, he was legendary for his "foot to the floor" banzai qualifying laps as well as his incredible skill behind the wheel that came from his ability to extract the maximum performance from any car he raced,
The man holds an official qualifying lap record at the Nordschlife that will never be broken and was a personal protege of none other than the head of porsche's racing division Norbert Singer, he was thought so of so highly that enzo ferrari was well on his way to courting him to join his F1 team in 1987.
Sadly he was killed at the 1986 Spa 1000KM in a truly horrific accident at Eau Rouge where he was trying to pass Jacky Iyx on the inside when their cars touched at 180 mph which catapulted beloff's 956 into the wall at full speed head on, the impact folded the front of the car over into the cockpit and he was killed instantly, it took 45 minutes to cut him from the car and the race was ended after only 26 laps with no points being awarded in his honour.
Had he made the jump to F1 chances are that we'd be talking about him today as the greatest modern F1 driver ever, legends like ayrton senna, alain prost, nigel mansel and even micheal schumacher have all said that the his untimely passing was a "great shame" to motorsports because "he was so talented and it would've been a pleasure to race against him as he came into his prime".
His passing was the direct reason why the FiA completely changed the rules of top level international sportscar racing and mandated the front axle centerline of all group C and C2 cars be moved ahead of the driver footwell area and that the front of the cockpit be reinforced to prevent what happened that day from ever happening again.

Bray Wyatt. Man, he was a force of nature in the pro-wrestling world. So creative and so experimental- it’s like he understood that the entertainment side of wrestling is what sticks with fans. Everyone knows it’s predetermined so he made it a point to amplify and layer his characters so people would pay to see this mesmerizing performer. Miss him deeply.

So many in the 27 club Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison. But a few others like singer Andy Wood of Mother Love Bone (only 24, or Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher (47, but he died awaiting a liver transplant when a MRSA infection took him away.

You failed to mention, Jim Henson was a Christian Scientist. They don't believe in conventional medicine and he did of an infection that would have been cured with antibiotics had he seen a doctor.

Terry Kath of the rock band Chicago. Jimi Hendrix cited Terry Kath as one of his favorite guitarists, and considered Kath to be "the best guitarist in the universe".

Selena Quintanilla. The fact she was betrayed by someone she trusted only for her to miss out on the success of her English crossover never fails to break my heart.

We should also tallk about Buddy Holly. He was only 22 when he died, but he gave us some great songs which helped people continue to develop music!
