It is always weird for me to hear people refer to Pinhead as a villain. In the first 2 movies (the only ones worth watching tbh, he and the Cenobites are just there to collect those that summoned them. The villains in those movies and the only ones that actually kill are the humans. The only reason he goes after Kirstie is because she literally opened the box

Moder, is pronounced like mother, with a d. I'm not certain but I think moder is mother in some Norse language. It's explained in the book that it's like a mother to some of the cult members and theyre it's children, because they make sacrifices to it in exchange for immortality. It's a demigod basically, one of Loki's offspring.

Graboids (and their evolutions) from Tremors, Sharknados from Sharknado, Hollowghast from Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Slappy from the Goosebumps films, Slytherin's Basilisk from Harry Potter, Chucky the possessed doll, Springbonnie/Springtrap from FNAF (actually, ALL of the FNAF animatronics should make this list.

I just never thought the lipstick demon was scary. I laughed throughout the first Insidious movie. I however I liked the second one and the tall man definitely should have been higher than the lipstick demon.
Also, I'm so glad Pumpkinhead was included on this list. I just wished he had been a little higher.

So glad Moder was on here. It's a genuinely unique and scare creature and the movie as a whole was a very pleasant surprise. I'm so sick of hearing about The Blair Witch Project, it's marketing was incredible yes, but it wasn't that good a movie after that. You had me at that last one LOL.

I don't think Shelob deserves to be top 3, but can certainly say she deserves to be on the list. Some notable absences, the Skeksis from Dark Crystal, The T-1000 from T2, and The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. The Thing from _The Thing_ takes the forms of the Pale Man, Rexy, and Pennywise over a single night. That’s one nightmare I won’t recover from if I have it.

What happens if you kill the person you slept with in It follows Or slept with them again Or lured the creature onto a Spacex rocket that Elon musk plans on using to get a car to Mars.

I'd add the creature at the end of Smile, it was pretty damn creepy and some of the creatures in The Void. But I agree with The Xenomorph from Alien being #1.

Does he not technically qualify as a monster I think the T1000 (Robert Patrick) from the 2nd Terminator movie deserves at least honorary mention it was SCARY.

Glad Jean Jacket made it on the list. The reveal that it’s an alien instead of being piloted by aliens wasn’t just a plot twist, it changed the genre.

Meg Mucklebones from Legend (1985) should be on this list. She scared the hell outta me as a child, I had nightmares about her for a very long time

The Tripods from War of the Worlds. The scene where one rises out of the Hudson River is scarier than a lot of proper horror movies!
