I still think Tenacious D would have been fine to just have Kyle seem remorseful and acknowledge that the joke wasn't funny. I struggle to even call it a joke. Jokes are supposed to be humorous. Saying you want the person you don't like dead isn't humorous. I was just kidding. vibes. But they self-canceled. I don't think anyone who likes them wanted them to stop. Even if they support Trump. In the future people are going to try to claim Tenacious D was canceled, but it wasn't people doing it. They self-canceled to save Jack Black's movie stuff. The entire thing seems juvenile. I like Jack Black, Kyle Gas, Tenacious D, and Trump. It was just a terrible thing to say. No need to stop the tour.

Look, I’m all about comedy. And people are allowed to have different opinions on what’s too far and what’s not. That being said, I don’t care where on the political spectrum you are or how you feel about an artist, if your making jokes wishing for someone else’s death either because you don’t aline with them politically or so you can get your 2 chuckles in you’re gone too far. Just be be clear I feel this way no matter the politics. I felt icky when my grandfather was happy when Ted Kennedy died, I feel icky when it’s trump.

My favorite part about Kyle’s cancellation was how quickly Jack Black distanced himself from his decades-old buddy to salvage his film career. and Michael Richard’s attempt to resurface with a book to explain his behavior this year only reminded people what he said, and introduced to a new generation that had no idea of his heinous behavior. Let sleeping dogs lay Richie. Honorable mention, The Dixie Chicks. It wasn't exactly a joke, but criticizing President George Bush at one of the concerts sank their career overnight.

When Paul Pelosi was attacked, Trump and Trump Jr. joked about it. Trump said Mark Milley should be killed. He joked about Whitmer's failed kidnapping. And yet, he didn't mean it, but Kyle is wrong Maybe MAGA shouldn't be talking sht if they can't take it.

NONE of these jokes were OBJECTIVELY offensive. Not a one. Half of them were just flat, a couple were worth a chuckle or two and ONE was F-ING HILARIOUS! It is a shame that ANY of these were used to justify ousting these people from their jobs just so less talented and NO-talent people could take them.

The worst part about Kyle Gass, even though many agree it was inappropriate, many also agree with his statement.
All of this setting aside that more and more believe the assassination attempt was staged despite real injuries and fatalities -- with the latter of innocent people being hurt is where I can agree with the backlash.

what was funny about no. 9 juliana rancic was the follow up.
she later showed up on home shopping network to promote her fashion line. there were several models wearing her clothes. however rancic kept hugging and dapping up the one black model. it was awkward, cringe and hilarious.
