On Demand and Streaming have changed a lot of how TV is consumed. For many of these genres you had to plan to be in front of the tv on certain days at certain times. If you missed something then you might not know what friends/coworkers were talking about the next day. On Demand and Streaming have given people a lot of freedom to consume programming when they want to but I also remember the fun as well as anticipation you got when you didn't have that freedom. Back then you didn't really worry about spoilers cause who knows if/when they would get the chance to see it themselves. Now you kind of have to make sure everyone has had the chance to see it before you can talk about it. I remember with shows like Game of Thrones sometimes waiting days for people to get around to watching the new episode before you could really talk about it cause of spoilers. Use to be if you missed it then you needed your friends to catch you up.

My mother and brother used to participate in the CP telethon when I was young and in treatment. Telethons are the modern version of Victorian freak shows where people get inspired by watching the suffering of others. It's just Thank GOD that's not me or my kid! Here's some money to assuage my guilt that I hate looking at disabled people. Most of the money they collect goes to the network, anyway. They're a total scam.

Sports Entertainment Sure Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, AEW) are still a thing on TV but what about American Gladiators (1989-1996, WMAC (1995-1997, Slamball (2003-2009) gone the way of the Dodo and I haven't watched Sasuke or American Ninja Warrior In ages probably ran out of favor with TV Audiences but I don't know anyways

M. A. S. K and Voltron were not Saturday morning cartoons, they aired in syndication. However, it's too bad that Saturday morning cartoons don't exist anymore, but then again kids these days have many options on where to watch cartoons. There's Cartoon Network, as well a variety of streaming services like Netflix.

Sketch comedy is still alive. Just ask SNL. And some filmed infront of a live audience sitcoms. And anothology shows will always be here.
I wish I was around when Saturday Morning cartoons were a thing. And my parents having cable.

Saturday Morning Cartoons is not #1 on the list Really BTW, besides anime, other TV genres, such as modern sitcoms, crime dramas, medical dramas, adult animation and reality TV, are still things to this day.

I’d argue that the teen drama genre is relatively dead, as shows like pretty little liars, riverdale, the vampire diaries, gossip girl, 90210, teen wolf, and the OC are mostly a thing of the past

Antholgy still exist. Love Death and Robots is getting a new season. Black mirror is still very popular too. Even kid theme ones like Goosebumps and Haunting Hour get watched around the Spooky Season.

2: 43 While the overrated SNL is still on, I miss when the better sketch comedy shows aired at prime time or late night like Chappelle's Show, MADtv and, my personal favorite, In Living Color.

I agree with all of them except anthology series. American Horror Story is still going strong I think. But yeah, times have changed in TV and otherwise.
