I'm a bit disappointed in this list due to the fact that bondrewd was placed at 17 and Griffith not at 1. Not only did bondrewd take orphans from the surface and conduct horrific experiments on them, but he literally turned his own daughter into a cartridge that was to give his own body the blessing of the abyss like nanachi. This blessing can only be given by someone sacrificing their humanity for someone they loved. Id of at least given him a top 5 or put him right next to Tucker.
Now as for GRIFFITH. EASILY #1. This dude is the epitome of narcissism. Not only did he attempt to overpower and undermine Guts almost all the time, but he sold his soul to ascend God hood out of spite that Casca was more interested in guts than him. Singlehandedly he offered his entire gang as sacrifices to ascend said godhood, then proceeded to violate Casca in front of guts until it broke her sanity, then cursed guts with a mark that essentially makes him a walking invitation for demons.

Gabi deserves her spot in the top five. But you failed to mention how the story keeps putting her on a pedestal regardless of whether she does right or wrong, how much focus she steals from all the other characters, how other characters existed purely to propel herself after she killed Sasha, how Sasha became an afterthought after the entirely needless affair, and finally how despite being at a distinct disadvantage in combat she is somehow stronger and more effective than veterans from both Marley AND Paradis.
There's only so many times where we can be asked to suspend our disbelief.

Gabi deserves her spot in the top five. Team Garcia (Metal Fight Beyblade): From the moment of their first appearance, I knew I would hate them with a passion. These guys play sirty to win and they make up their own rules just so they don't get disqualified. And what’s worse, it there was a moment where some of them could’ve broke off and leave until it was a trap just to they have an advantage. They even made their own company just so they could get revenge on the WBBA. Nothing makes sense with these guys.

However characters like Shou Tucker, Malty S Melromarc, Griffith, Nobuyuki Sugou, Minoru Mineta, Tomoo and his bully henchman, Makoto Itou, Kaname Asagiri, Jiro Asagiri, and Sarina Shizukume definitely deserve the hate from the fandom.

My hated character from the anime modern era is Dr. Micheal Gideon from the new season of Blue Exorcist. He tortured so many people and did terrible things to Izumo and her mom. Plus he killed a woman who cared for her just for the fun. He was also loud, obnoxious, hateful of humans despite being one, and had one of the most punchable faces ever. He deserves more hate than Myne if you ask me, and that's saying something.

I really miss the days when being an anime fan meant that you liked _good_ anime, and not that you just uncritically watched every old garbage Japanese cartoon pumped down the shoot into the American market, which has become a dumping ground for shows that failed in Japan because they know there's an audience here that will watch _anything_ just because it's anime.

actually, i think Ren Yamai is not that bad.
i can see and understand why she is hated.
But than again, sometimes when i see Lumity, HarleyxIvy or Bayonetta x Jeanne shippers, and their reaction if this characters are shipped with a male. they totally losing their minds.
That is why i think Ren Yamai is a good parody about these kind of shippers.

In my opinion, Makoto doesn't deserve the hate that much. After all, Sekai tempted him and he failed to be loyal to Kotonoha but she didn't keep watch of him and later decided to let him do whatever he wanted but when he wanted everything to go back to how it was with Kotonoha, Sekai killed him, brutally. She deserves the hate more.

IMO, Tracey has been an underrated, underdeveloped, and underutilized character. However, he does not deserve the unnecessary hatred that he receives. If a character doesn’t receive enough attention or experiences a decline in their development, we shouldn't blame the character; instead, we should hold the writers responsible.

I'm not surprised that Kazuya made this list. I mean it may be common for RomCom MC's to be horny, Pathetic, love sick losers but Kazuya is an absolute disgrace.
And as for Malty, She's a no brainer. It goes without saying that everything she's ever done in Rise of the Shield Hero makes her easily despicable.

I feel like the list needs to be adjusted into two separate categories: characters hated because they are supposed to be hated, and characters hated due to being awful in a meta sense. Maybe a third version to include characters that are meant to be despised, but exceed expectations of contempt.

To me, it’s Kun from Mirai. Ever since I saw that boy hit his baby sister with a toy train, I don’t think he deserves to have a sister, and I don’t think he deserves forgiveness. Maybe the parents are to blame for spoiling their daughter. Either way, Kun is the worst.

My ass Gabi had a redemption arc. She only joined the good side because she had no choice but to since the alternative meant death for the world. She never once showed any remorse, only apologizing to beg for help from the very people she ruthlessly tried to genocide.

I feel like characters who are intentionally made to be hated should get a pass. We aren't supposed to like bad people. Its when a character isnt meant to be hated where the issue lies. I feel like we are supposed to hate most of the characters on this list

I am completely shocked that SternRitter L 'the Love; Pepe didn't make it on the list, the most hated Bleach character of all time. Make you like characters like Szayel and Nnoitra be cool and make you respect King Baraggan's fraccion Charlotte more.

I want nothing to do with Berserk because of Griffith & because the series has yet to get a proper finale. And as recent chapters has told us, Guts & his latest allies didn't even come close to Griffith. All because it's been on the worst hiatus ever.
