As a Brit, I find it savage that people are willing to fight, kill or die for a shtty bargain that will be the same price a few months later. This disgusting American culture has swept its way this side of the pond and it's vile to witness. Greed and selfishness on display, a complete buy and look at me culture of sub-humans who are about as deep as a spit puddle. Don't get me started on the human condition when it comes to panic buying, toilet paper for instance. Jeebus. Smart and clean people install bidets and don't have to worry about mere millimeters of crap between fingers.

All of this is just one reason why Black Friday sales start early online and some in stores over a two week period. With the rotating sales not everyone is going at the same time. Also most highly demanded items will be online only but just like the scumbags who would trample children we have online bots taking all the stock away. Retails seem to know this and exploit it with a membership gateway as an only guarantee but even then it’s not.

Back in the 80s i worked at Kmart. cabbage patch dolls were the rage. People were driving across multiple states trying to find them. My store manager had hoarded a lot of them for black Friday. He put them on a blue light special for $20. People went insane. One woman suffered a broken arm. I commented before watching the whole video. I see they featured the cabbage patch hysteria

The shoplifting incidents makes me wonder why someone would shoplift during sales Is it easier not being caught during the chaos Like if something expensive that you usually have to ask for is now in a pile on the floor and there's a lot of people trying to grab one, no one will notice if you steal it Or do discounted goods equal a discounted penalty

Black Friday is a lot better now, that people can just do their black Friday shopping online. Now most people don't bother going to the insane efforts to get a deal at black Friday. Places like target, best buy, Walmart etc are slowing going out of business anyways because of online shopping. Maybe for the best.

The deals on 'Black Friday' are not as good as they used to be. The lines at some stores, like Kohl's can be way too long. Some of the supercheap items like $99 50 flat screen TV's are junk, don't have all the wanted features, sometimes for Walmart, BestBuy offer special submodels just for sale for that time. .

Sadly, Black Friday itself no longer exists. It used to be a grass roots shopping movement that gave you extraordinary low prices for just that one day, but corporations took it over with full weeks of sales and now not only are the deals a total joke, but most Black Friday activity is simply done online.

Cabbage Patch Dolls. Homage to the babies grown in incubators and sent on orphan trains to repopulate American cities from 1850's-1910's. Supposedly, a mud flood or other mysterious cataclysm around 1830 wiped out most the people and was completely erased from the history books.

Writing from Australia, and I’m thankful I done my holiday shopping on Thursday. Come the next day, things are going to be chaotic, and judging by the weekend plans, I’ll probably be in bed, recharging to get ready for holiday decorating.

I live in the Chicago suburbs and the few times i went to a Black Friday store opening has been pretty civil. No one was fighting or rushing through the doors to get an high value item.
I would never go to a mall on one though.

Man, I don’t really remember have been experiencing Nightmare Friday fuel but I certainly right that if Elmo annoying blush didn’t exist, turbofan would be more focused instead

This is why my family doesn't shop in stores for Black Friday, cause we are all tired of the pushing, shoving and the violence. All we do in my household we shop online!

Black Friday is a nightmare of a day. It should be banned if people are going to hurt each other for something as petty as a discount price on a item.

Online Black Friday shopping is way safer and less dramatic. All human decency goes out the window whenever the last Friday of November arrives.
