I won't have volume because my blonde hair is very soft and thin. We have different hair. Your hair is stiffer than mine, and it has volume to some extent without any special products. My hair just hangs smoothly from my head. I've been growing my hair to my shoulders, and in a nutshell, it's advantageous for a man to have short hair today. My hair doesn't hold volume well, and even using a special product like Morgans Texture Clay doesn't help. I have to use a super powerful hairspray on top, otherwise a light breeze will scatter all my hair on my head. If it's very sunny, even all the protection from the hairspray disappears, and my hair just lays flat on my head.

Me personally i kind of disagree with this video. These long volume hairtypes only apply to people that have natural thick hair which are mostly from caucasian, european, and hispanic men. African men on the other hand, have natural nappy hair. You can still look like a model with a fade. Look at michael b jordan for example. Or chris brown. They still gets light taper fades and still gets the most women without even trying. Even famous singer like maluma has a buzz cut with a light fade and he hispanic. You even got the famous Cristiano Ronaldo who even uses the fade still. Also whats trending is italian beard fades so that only compliments it more with a taper.

I need help: My hair is very straight and heavy, but when I use wax or pomade, it frizzes out and my style doesn't hold, or at worst, it melts and looks messy, losing all structure. What can I do to get a more natural hairstyle, without using heavy products like strong gel (I've been using it for YEARS because is the only way I can be sure my hair stays as I like to, but without it frizzing out or melting after a couple of hours Any recommendations

When I was much younger I had longer hair and it was pretty much straight as an arrow. Think 90's grunge kid. Fast forward to the past 15 years and I wore it in a quiff with a pretty tight fade. But this year I've been growing out and to my surprise somewhere along the way my hair turned wavy or even curly. So agreed, grow your hair out while you still can, you might be surprised by it.

Guys let’s be honest - he has a pillow on the back of his head. It really depends on the type of hair you have. This is not the way to go for a lot of us. Including him. And who wants to style their hair, blow dry it, comb it for 10 mins every morning especially in the summer. I get that fades aren’t that in style anymore but what he has doesn’t suit him as well as he thinks.

Hey alex im from India the problem is parent shout at us when we grow our hair and when the allow us to grow our hair then it starts to hairfall can u give any advice coz in India parents wants us to keep our hair small like military cut but Im trying different haircuts and im trying to find out which one will suit me

My hair grows straight forward so I can’t do flow hairstyles or anything swept backwards - I’ve grown it long a few times, but it only looks good once it gets below shoulder length.
Nothing else works during the awkward phase so I just have to commit to looking awful while growing it out

How abt people with curly hair, cuz i been so mad cuz i have curly hair and idk what to do with it, i have 3a to 3b on top and idk why but on the sides i have 2b hair
i always wanted soft hairstyles especially wavier hair more than curly not those tryhard finger coiled hair so any recommendations

I will stop cutting my sides too short from now on, what you said confirm what I already know, I just needed someone to tell me this
Looking back at my photos, I look 10x better with longer sides than short fades
But also keeping the sides too long is no good, we have to find the balance

reply

Great vid. Definitely helps with what to say to your stylist. More often than not I end up with a way shorter cut than I was looking for, so maybe it’s a communication issue.
I’ve been struggling a bit though finding reference pictures to show what I want.

It’s about functionality after all these years no one can still sell me on product blow drying it’s too much effort and I’ve got too much shit to do I do support the hair on the sides and back definitely I think that’s why so many people liked the mullet

Sir I am changing my hairstyle to 80-20 but I am facing a problem as my hair is not being able to get the proper shape for 80-20. Suggest me some tips and products which doesn't harm my hair instead it makes it look good. Waiting for your reply Alex.
reply

True, I kept the same hairstyle, dude fades with short length overall. Until I decided to grow my hair and that's when I realized that mid length hair with sides and a middle part that is not really defined but rather natural actually looks good on me.
reply

You’re right Alex, I’ve let the top grow on my hair I need to let the sides grow to and just get scissors across to see what that looks like. Big shoutout from
California and if you can recommend and affordable lol hair stylist please do.

reply

Alex, what do you say about hair drying I’ve heard before it’s not good for your hair in the long run. Are there hair drying hacks you are aware of This is one reason I’m hesitant to grow my hair out and instead keep it very short. Cheers.

If that were me sitting in that chair, the barber would proceed to whip out a clipper and give me a fade. I get my hair cut twice a year because most hairdressers piss me off and half the time they don't even listen to what I tell them.

Im gonna show this to my gf. I used to love growing my hair, it allowed me to really explore styles that i think suited me. but she always had something against long hair. Maybe this will make her see the magic of growing my hair! Haha

This guy owns a hair product company. Of course he’s going to push for people to grow out their hair so they can buy his products. Too funny.
You should wear the hairstyle that suits your face shape and size the best.

reply

I agree! I’ve been secretly thinking this for months now, but never put it into words. You captured it perfectly! Especially thinking this as I am getting older. I hate myself with a hard fade nowadays
