Fall Hair Routine: Simple Changes That Matter

Fall hair care doesn’t have to mean replacing your entire routine. In this video, I’m breaking down how I adjust my hair routine for fall and winter to deal with lower humidity, static, tangles, dry-feeling hair, scalp discomfort, and all the extra friction from sweaters, scarves, and coats without adding a million unnecessary steps. We’re sorting the whole routine into four categories: what to KEEP, CHANGE, ADD, and DROP as the weather gets colder. We’ll talk about what low humidity actually does to the hair fiber, why just add moisture isn’t very useful advice, how conditioning can improve softness, shine, slip, and movement, when hair oils or deep conditioners might be worth adding, and what you can probably stop doing once summer is over. I’m also sharing my favorite tricks for static hair, a scarf-tangle hack I wear-tested for several hours, fall scalp-care recommendations, and how I shift my styling routine from beachy summer texture toward a smoother, glossy, bouncy fall blowout. The goal isn’t MORE haircare it’s figuring out what actually helps you get from the hair you have now to the fall hair you want. Can you give tips for those of us that live in areas with god awful air quality I live in Northern Utah where the air is very dry normally but we've also got TERRIBLE air quality (due to pollution.
My hair looks fantastic in the morning and looks greasy by the evening, sometimes I can get away with a half updo on day-two hair but most days its day one I'm wanting to put it up halfway through the day. How do I fix this I double wash or triple wash and do a longer condition to my ends for damage (NOT my roots. It still doesnt help though

I found the best shampoo that help with my anti-scalp are not only anti-dandruff shampoos but the ones that have mentol in there and have peppermint help my scalp the most like one that I really like and I recently tried is the glacier meant one from head and shoulders. There’s also a generic tree one. They’re also is the high-end version of that that I do like, but I only get that on sale.

If you’re using a protective style while you’ve got scarves and coats, please don’t use a claw clip while driving. They can be exceptionally dangerous in a car accident. Use a French pin or bobby pins instead! I put my hair up every day to drive to work, and I usually use 4-5 bobby pins in a faux French twist so it’s easy to take down on the way to my office from the car.

She's not wrong about the Pantene scalp serum. I've had an itchy scalp as long as I can remember and very sensitive skin. And I tried this serum and it is so soothing. If only they'd get rid of the fragrance though because I do think fragrances irritate my skin. But I recommend trying it. It's great

also a great way to avoid the static is to stay away from products with beans and peas and clothes made of synthetic fibers. ever since i made the switch due to allergies and eczema respectively i found my hair doesn’t get statically charged at all.

The tip about avoiding the volume products at the nape of the neck is BRILLIANT! I did my hair and got knots and sort of melted down because it hadn’t happened in ages. This makes so much sense! Thank you!

Loving all these new videos!
Definitely going to be applying some of these techniques despite being in spring - one month in and my hair is already way too committed to being windswept and matte

Girl, there are some things that are definitely leaving my routine during the winter, but one thing I'm not giving up on is my faq led light scalp massager, perfect for after applying a serum

i’m so happy you’re still making videos! would you be open to making a video for adults just getting into learning new hairstyles ideally low tension ones that won’t give u headaches
reply

Definitely going to add some scalp serum! The humidity stays relatively high here in the UK, but the cold is certainly making my scalp feel like it needs some extra care!

I was always told Pantene has the same ingredients as fabuloso. So I’m curious if they have changed how they make there products
reply
